Harmony woke up drowsy and mouth dry. She was on the floor lay down. Her eyes were blurry so she tried to rub them. She tried her best to lift her arms but they were wrapped in a big white bandage stained with blood. "Dante?" Harmony said in a hoarse voice.
"Shh... don't speak. Do you remember what happened? You banged your head pretty hard off a wall," Dante asked.
"The last thing I remember is we were fighting the snake. Wait... where is it? Where is the Slitheren Vilpi?" Harmony backed up but only got slightly away.
Harmony started whimpering as Dante came into her eye sight.
"Here, drink some water and don't worry when you passed out I jumped on it. I took my dagger and stabbed it right in it's head. I slid down its body while dragging my dagger down. So it is dead to answer your question," Dante took a canister of water and dipped in into Harmony's mouth. Harmony took one little sip and spit it all over Dante's face.
"Did you seriously just spit on me?" Dante said as he wiped water and saliva off his face.
"Yes, yes I did," Harmony tried to keep a straight face but she couldn't help but laugh. Dante joined into the laughter. Harmony started coughing normally then blood started pouring out of her mouth. Dante ran over and lifted her into a sitting position.
"Don't, I'm fine just take these stinking bandages off so I can stinking move," Harmony started hitting Dante to stop.
"Fine but I'm going to put more on but they will be more flexible," Dante grabbed the end of the bandage and started taking it off. Harmony flinched and whispered ,"Ouch."
"Are you sure you want me to take this off?" Dante asked.
"Yeah, keep on going. I need to be able to move so I can protect you and me," Harmony explained.
Harmony closed her eyes as Dante took the bandages off from her arms, torso, and legs. She thought about how they would get all the prisoners back? Will some die trying to save the others? If we survive, where will we go? What will happen when we go our separate ways? Will we ever meet again?
"Wake up sleepy head, I'm done with the bandages," Dante shock her to wake her up. Harmony opened her eyes and sat up. She bit her lip and looked down. "What's wrong Harmony?" Dante questioned.
"Nothing. Just thinking about stuff," Harmony didn't dare to look him in the eyes.
"About?" Dante wanted to know what Harmony was thinking about. "It's not important. Just forget about it," Harmony shrugged it off.
"Okay, fine," Dante said.
"About when I passed out, how long was I out for?" Harmony asked.
"Well, we fought the snake around 5:00 and it's around midnight because the moon is at its highest point. So you were passed out for around seven hours," Dante answered.
"Seven hours! That's crazy! We could have been moving further!" Harmony stood up and shouted.
"I guess we could have since the sandstorm has gone," Dante agreed.
"The sandstorm is gone! Then let's get going," Harmony explained.
"It's not that simple," Dante said.
"Yes it is," Harmony argued.
"No it's not," Dante clenched his fist.
"Yes it is," Harmony stomped her foot.
"No it's not!" Dante screamed.
"Yes it is!" Harmony screamed even louder.
"You're so frustrating," Dante turned around.
"How?" Harmony asked.
Dante flung himself around to face Harmony. "Don't you remember! You! Are! Poisoned! There is nothing we can do about it. You are going to die. That poison is slow and painful it will kill you in two days, three if you're lucky," Dante explained.
"I forgot all about how that snake is the most poisonous snake in the world. I am going to die. I am not even going to be able to stop the Dark Lord from killing all of us and taking over the world," Harmony sat down on rumble and started bawling her eyes out.
Dante sat down beside Harmony and patted her shoulder. "Let's just get going and maybe will stop the Dark Lord before you, you know," Dante suggested.
"Die," Harmony said.
"Yeah... that," Dante said quietly and started playing with his thumbs.
"Sure might as well. There is nothing else we can do. Do you have the poison?" Harmony agreed.
"No. No I don't. I was so focused on you from bleeding to death I didn't even get it," Dante explained.
"Then let's get it," Harmony rolled her eyes.
"Are you sure you can handle it from such little time to recover from your injury?" Dante questioned.
"I'm fine. Let's go," Harmony said.
Harmony pushed herself up off the rubble and asked,"Before we go, where are we?"
"We are on the top floor to the left of the stairs. So go down to the basement," Dante answered.
Harmony walked out of the room into the hallway. She looked both directions thinking the snake was still alive. She shook her head remembering that it was gone. She held one of her hand on the wall since she was still woozy. She limped all the way down to the stairs. She placed one foot on the stairs and she fell. She tumbled, she turned, she fell all the way from the top to the bottom.
"Ugh," Harmony groaned.
"Harmony, I told you that you were not fine," Dante ran to the top of the stairs and looked down. Harmony was laying on her back with her arms and legs hanging everywhere "I know, I just get as far as possible from here," Harmony said. "We will leave once we get the poison. Now get up," Dante explained.
"I can't. I can't move," Harmony said. "Can you move your legs up and down?" Dante asked. Harmony one leg stayed still while the moved up and down. "Did I do it?" Harmony questioned. "No, you didn't," Dante answered. Harmony rolled to her side and told Dante ", I was attacked by a big snake. I was bit by that same snake. I'm poisoned. And now I can't even walk," Harmony cried.
"It's going to be okay," Dante assured.
"You don't know for sure," Harmony argued.
"Well if you don't believe that you're going to survive then you won't. So believe," Dante said. Dante reached down and Harmony grabbed his hand and he pulled her up.
"Here take this," Dante looked around and grabbed a big stick.
"You can use it as a crutch or a cane if you break it half," Dante explained.
"Thank you," Harmony grabbed the stick.
She tucked it under her arm and started wobbling towards the stairs. Dante followed right behind ready to catch her if she fell. When they got to the stairs Harmony asked,"Umm... how am I supposed to get down?"
"I could carry you over my shoulder like a sack of pu-taters," Dante laughed.
"No, I've already used lots of your help so let me try it on my own," Harmony shook her head. She looked around trying to find materials to help. She walked around grabbing large sticks from the ground. "You do know that it would be easier if I carried you," Dante explained.
"Like I said, no," Harmony shot him a stare.
"Ugh... we're going to be here for a while. I'm taking a nap," Dante took his scarf and draped it over his eyes.
"Didn't you just sleep?" Harmony questioned.
"Nah. I was making sure you were okay," Dante answered.
Dante sat back up. He walked to a nice little ledge, jumped up and curled up into a ball. Harmony went back to work making her gizmo gadget. She lined all the sticks she got in a row and tied them together with rope. She wiped her forehead and sat down next to Dante. Dante was snoring and drooling all over the place. Harmony slapped him right across his face. Dante still slept. Harmony made a confused face. She crawled on top of him and yelled in his ear,"Wake up! I'm done building my tobageun!"  He still slept.
Harmony sighed and grabbed his foot and dragged him off the ledge. Dante licked his lips then went back to sleep. Harmony lugged him to the stairs, every step falling over. Harmony laid him at the top of the stairs and pushed him. He tumbled down the stairs. Dante screamed half way down. He kept screaming until he reached the bottom. He ached in pain, stretching his arm and legs. "I'm coming down!" Harmony yelled as she grabbed her tobageun and her cane.
She slide down the stairs holding on as tight as she could. She squealed with joy. She landed with a thud on top of Dante. She laughed and Dante laughed with but was crying out in pain too.
"Why'd you do that?" Dante asked stopping laughing.
"You wouldn't get up," Harmony answered.
"You could've just poured water on me," Dante explained.
"But we need that water to drink and this is a lot more fun," Harmony giggled.
Dante pushed her off him and tried to wipe as much dust off as possible. Harmony grabbed her cane and stood up. She walked towards the room that the snake was in.
