Chapter 28

The car crashes through the glass wall, crushing Zeke and 5 more people. A large, long haired monstrous brute jumps through the wall. The monster roars, causing the students to flee. The monster stomps two girls and swung its arms to several more students. He also grabbed a jock and squeezed him until his spine snaps, throwing him at a wall. The monster punches a column as it roars loudly.

Dahlia sees the crowd of students plowing through each other to leave the house. Dahlia ran against the current of people to have a look at what are they running from. She reaches the living room and sees this monster going berserk. Tearing through the furniture, punching the walls and kicking away the bodies of those it killed. The monster finds the girl who rejected Zeke. The monster turns to her and was on the verge of crushing her until

-"Hey biggie! Did Volgath send you!?"

The monster, hearing such familiar voice, turns to Dahlia. Dahlia looked at its tremendously muscular and long limbs, and recognized the jeans and a punk bands t-shirt that are stretched and torn. The stretched face with long jaw easily exposed its teeth. The long hair flows down the monsters shoulders... But what shook Dahlia was this one distinct feature of its hair... A blue streak of highlights.

-"A... Alex...?"

-"Dahlia..." Alex growls. -"Enjoying the party, you little runt?"

-"Alex... What have you done...?

-"What have YOU done!? You could have done THIS!" She grabs Zekes body and holds it up. -"You could have done this so he wouldn't grab your ass anymore!" Alex throws it away, giving a chance for the girl to run away.

-"Alex..."

-"You had a chance to make things right for both of us! I thought you were my friend! But it turns out that elf was a better friend than you are, you stupid f#$&."

-"You talked to Volgath!? What did he tell you!?" Dahlia closes her fists, emanating her dark aura.

-"Your blood gives power... I didn't imagine it would give me THIS kind of power." Alex closes her fists, and emanates the same aura Dahlia does. -"How could you be so stupid? All your life we've been beaten, insulted at, no one respected us... And look at you now... You got your boyfriend, you're at a party and you have that power... And for what? So you could waste it away so people like Zeke would still pick on you? No. He, Kyle, our parents, our school, everyone in this damn town deserve a taste of real power. You didn't know how to use it but I do. Oh... I so do! They would all feel the pain, they would suffer... And now they will rot in the same place we have always rotted... In oblivion... And now they will know that I am Oblivion... I will make sure they'll die and be as forgotten as we are!" Alex summons blades, wider but shorter than Dahlia's.

Dahlia summons her blades as well. -"So you think killing everyone will make things right for us? You think that making people suffer as much as we do is gonna make things even? I punched Zeke, I started getting respect, and people already welcomed me after I punched him."

-"Well you could have gutted him in front of them!"

-"And then what? People hated me... And they would have hated me more."

-"Well guess what, red... I hate you too."

Oblivion roared as she swung her blade at Dahlia. Dahlia quickly dodges it as Oblivion swung her blade back at her. Dahlia parries it, then Oblivion punches her away. The force of the punch sends Dahlia flying into a wall, knocking her unconscious. Oblivion turns to the front entrance as police sirens are heard.

-"This is NMPD, you are completely surrounded. Please exit the building with your hands up." The police captain spoke through the megaphone as several patrol cars stop, with armed police officers getting out of their cars.

-"Oh... Yes..." Oblivion growls with an evil grin.

The police hold their pistols out. They hear thumping. Fast paced loud thumping. Oblivion plows through the concrete and debris flies over to the police. The police start shooting at her, but she swings her arms, flailing the cars through them. She punches several policemen and crushes their patrol cars. The surviving police run away as Oblivion runs through. She turns her head to downtown Saint León and runs through there.

The captain heads to an unharmed patrol car, grabbing the radio.

-"This is Echo Alpha 4, do you copy!?"

-"Echo Alpha 4, this is dispatch, go ahead." The radio responds.

-"The distress call was something bigger, and it's already heading downtown! Get SWAT team or the f#$&ing National Guard there, now!"

-"National Guard? What are y-?"

-"Just get them over there! Everyone! Evacuate the goddamn town too! A monster is plowing through!"

Oblivion starts tearing traffic lights down and crushes several cars. She grabs a tire and throws it through a comic book store, tearing a head off a cutout of SCAT Squad. Oblivion roars as crowds of people are panicking, running away in fear. More police officers arrive at the scene, including a SWAT team. Over 30 officers start firing their pistols, shotguns and assault rifles at Oblivion. The town of Saint León, New Mexico... A normally quiet town... Now became a warzone. The bullets don't seem to affect Oblivion as her massive strength made her nearly bulletproof. She plows through the evacuating cars blocking the road between her and the police. The police start to cower as she got closer and closer...

She finally reaches them and plows through them like nothing. She crushes and cuts through the police mercilessly. An officer tries to crawl out to safety, but was grabbed by Oblivion and thrown yards away. The SWAT team still held their ground, firing at Oblivion, up to the point they had to shoot tear gas cannisters at her. The SWAT team, with their masks on, kept firing at her... But even the tear gas had little effect on Oblivion. She still cut through them, punching the SWAT van to mow them down. One officer with a helmetcam was recording the whole thing, as he kept on firing at Oblivion. She roared violently as she knocked him down. The officer was cowering back, as Oblivion raises her foot over his head. His screaming in the recording gets cut off as Alex crushes his head.

Volgath and Klut look over from the roof of their hideout. Volgath sees the heavy amount of police lights shining through the town. He smiles gleefully, as he now knows the answer to his problems...

-"Hehe... It's her... It's her alright..."
