Chapter 80

I touch the cover of the book in front of me and admire its beauty. There is a moonstone in the middle of it and I fix my gaze on it for a moment before opening the book.

I frown to myself and go through a few other pages. "They are all blank." I state.

She chuckles a bit. "No, they are not. This is the history of your family and only members of your bloodline are able to see it, you have to concentrate though."

I look over to her and give her a confused look. "The story about my family?"

"Yes, yes. Have you heard about the Moon clan or about Hecate and Hades?"

"Hecate the three faced Greek goddess of the moon, magic and necromancy? Hades the Greek god of the underworld?"

"Yes, and the name Silverstone refers to the moon and the Moon clan."

I nod in understanding and look at the now closed book again. "Is anyone of my family still alive?" I ask her but when I look up, she is gone already.

Weird.

I touch the moonstone again but this time having a weird feeling. Before I could do anything, darkness surrounds and fills me up.

I feel pure power pumping through my veins, burning and freezing me inside out, leaving a prickling sensation.

I open my eyes and the book opens on its own. I look at each page as they turn over within seconds and take in every bit of information they have. Once I'm done, it closes on it's own again.

I smile to myself. "So that's how it is."

I get up again and leave the tent. I look around and soon spot John and the wolves. I walk over to them and give John a small peck on his cheek. "I'm done here, we can go."

"Alright, my love." He says, still a bit confused.

The old lady appears again. "And?" She asks curiously. "Will you do it?"

I turn around with a smile. "I will think about it. But I think yes."

Seeming to be satisfied with my answer, she chuckles before walking off.

"Do what?" John asks curiously.

"Nothing." I say while patting his shoulder. "Will tell you about it later but first I have to ask you for a favor." I glance over to Luc whose eyes widen in fear.

"Anything you want, my love." He whispers into my ear, making shivers run down my spine. I didn't notice him being that close. I smile at him before mouthing 'thank you'.

"Can we take my old friend Luc with us? He, Victoria and I are good friends and I'd like to have a small reunion party or something."

John's eyes widen when realization hits him. "A friend of Victoria and you?" He repeats and I nod in return. "Well then." He claps his hands together. "Let's take him with us, shall we? I will go and ask my friend Chris if he is ok with that."

I smirk while glancing over to Luc mouthing 'slave'.

"Am not!" He insists and I chuckle.

"Yes you are."

"Ok." John chirps in. "We can take him, so let's go."

Before Luc could react John injects him something, making him collapse immediately.

My guess is wolvesbane.

He lets the other wolves carry him to our car and once Luc, John and I are inside the car we drive back to the one place I learned to call my home.

Once we arrive, John takes Luc and brings him to Victoria in vampire speed while I take my time walking to his office.

"So?" He asks curiously as he walks in.

"So?" I repeat while crossing my hands over my chest.

He rolls his eyes and sits down in his chair and I do the same with the chair behind me.

"What did she tell you?"

"Nothing much. She just gave me a book to look at and any person who would look inside would just see blank sheets."

He furrows his brows before asking. "So we went there for nothing?"

"Oh, no. I found out quite a lot. The Silverstone coven belongs... Is the Moon clan which was found by Hecate and Hades, the Greek gods."

"The Moon clan?" He asks with his eyebrows raised. "I've heard about it quite a few times and even met them once or twice."

He looks at me with a smile plastering his face before it suddenly drops. He opens the top drawer on his desk, pulling out an envelope.

"I know this kind of is the wrong timing, but this is for you." He says, handing me the white envelope. "It is from Ludwig." He adds.

My eyes widen. "From Ludwig?" I repeat, as if trying to make sure it really is him we are talking about.

"Yes, I found it on the same day I killed him but didn't know when to give it to you. I though that I should give it to you now before I take too long to hand it over."

I nod at him while staring at the plain white envelope that says 'Amanda' in a beautiful handwriting. Lu's handwriting. I flip it over and notice the seal on it.

He really made an effort for his final words...

"I-I will open it l-later." I stutter while wiping away the tears at the corners of my eyes.

"I'm sorry..."

"N-no, it's alright." I assure him.

Sitting there in awkward silence for a while he breaks it. "So... How about your family then?"

"Long story short, my parents were the head of the coven but they died short time after I was born, well... they were killed. Which makes me the new head of the coven."

"So I guess that was what the woman wanted to know, right? She wanted to know if you will accept."

I nod at him. "Yes."

"So, you will be like... The queen of the witches or what?"

I chuckle a bit "All members of this coven are Strix." Seeing his confused expression I continue. "You could compare them to witches but they are something else and they are way more powerful.

But the special thing about me is that I actually originate from Gods and demons. My mom was a Silverstone which makes her the offspring of Hecate and Hades while my dad... well let's say fate loves the irony because he was a Blackville."

Oh and now that we have reached Chapter 80 there won't be more that 20 Chapters left (I kind of want the 100 but I still have no idea how many chapters I will need.)
