The next morning I slid my feet off the bed and rubbed my eyes, considering the sunlight stung them. The house was quiet, a little too quiet for comfort. While still in my night gown, I proceeded downstairs to find Mr. Kennedy reading the paper. He gently pulled the paper down slightly as his eyes narrowed up to me, "Well good morning!" He exclaimed with a soft smile. I curled my toes out of nervousness, "M-Morning...uh...where's my father?" I questioned with a slightly squeaky tone. "Oh, he went out for a little while, I'll be taking care of you for today if that's okay with you." He replied with the continuous smile. My eyes widened, and my heart seemed to have dropped. Did my father seriously leave me here alone with the president? Who would protect him if someone were to try and attack? I couldn't stop anyone!  "Everything alright?" He questioned softly as he narrowed his eyes. I nodded quickly and tore off upstairs. By the time I shut my door and slid down it, I began to hear footsteps tracking down the hallway. I covered my head as I began to tremble with nervousness. I heard a slight tapping noise on my door, "Hey? Be dressed and ready by at lease one? We'll go on the boat and have dinner if you'd like." I could hear Mr. Kennedy's voice call.
