I learned the voice's name today, it's Chara. They told me that they too had fell into the underground. They said that they could help me get my determination back.
What a fool I was, believing in them...

They killed many innocent monsters, they were ruthless. All of the monsters in the ruins, dead. My goat mother, dead. Everyone ran from us. I was a killer with a dangerous power...the power to respawn. I knew it wouldn't be long before we met our mercenary, the man I loved the most, the one who would ultimately kill me -both inside and out. So kind and caring at first, oblivious to what I had become. The involuntary movements in my soul becoming harder to control. Sans, he knew instantly that something had changed. His attitude towards me had faltered, he became distant while I ran past all of the puzzles in Snowdin forest. Did he know? Did he see me...or a murderer? By the time we arrived to Snowdin village, everyone had gone. Dead silence filled the air. Wandering around town was pointless, so we continued past Grillbys and towards waterfall. I was forced to walk past the place I once called home...the skelebro's house -my old house.

Did I make the right decision? ...To go back.

Just as we were about to head to into waterfall, a shadow of a skeleton blocked the way. I knew who it was instantly, his voice, it's unmistakable. Papyrus.""...please...Chara, don't kill him, h-he's my friend!" I had pleaded, my words unspoken and ignored by both my possessor and my soon to be victim. Chara raised their weapon. Papyrus ignored the sign of hostility and talked of how there was still hope for us....we didn't listen. Chara snickered at me, mumbling the words "Looks like free exp," inside our head. "Papy, Run! You...you have to escape!" I cried...he of course, could not hear my plead. *Slash*

"I STILL BELIEVE IN YOU" were his last words...

Just like that, my family was nearly gone... I would rather not explain the horrible things I did in waterfall, what I did to Undyne, or what transpired in Hotland. The monsters- dust...dust everywhere...It was a nightmare. Chara and I had argued many-a-time, it would always end in my losing, and the inability to control my own body that would ultimately end the debate. They continued forward, almost robotically, towards their destination: the capital.

It wasn't until we had entered a brightly lit chapel, that things had started to become...interesting. We advanced forward, threateningly so, only to be stopped by a short skeleton wearing a blue hoodie with white about the edges and some tattered gym shorts. This was it, there was no mercy to be had, one of us had to die. It was him who struck first, killing us instantly...tears in his eyes. Did it hurt him to see me like this? Maybe he saw that somewhere deep down in Chara, was someone he once knew. Someone very dear to him. Did he...remember me?

"Chara! Chara please stop this. This isn't what I wanted! I don't care if he kills me a thousand times over. The pain of seeing his sorrow, it hurts, hurts more than each bone and blast." I cried, tears welling in my already cherry red rimmed eyes. They finally responded to me, it was cold and brief "have your mercy, see what good it does you."
I didn't hesitate to take control, I spare him instantly; a new found feeling of hope in my shared soul.

This is it, my suffering will end, it will be the just the two of us. Right?
Wrong...
His words were like poison, sweet at first and bitter on the way down.
