Frisk lifts a shaking hand to the ceiling, they lie atop Ink's bed, contemplation in their soul. There was no going back.
A tear falls down her cheek. She has made her decision. She looks straight into her lovers eye sockets.
"I...I'm sorry"Part 3: Continuation story
Just as I was about to press that awful button something stopped me. It made my hand glow blue and held my muscles in place. I had felt that feeling once...no...many times before. It was softer this time. How strange such a feeling was, sweet and kind yet aggressively so...
Sans was undoubtedly worried.Hesitantly, I looked away from the ceiling that requested my attention, I was greeted by two nervous looking skeletons. Ink had a look of pure horror and Sans had his face hidden with his outstretched hand; the hand controlling my foolish moves. He did not speak until he felt he must, he had spoke softly, as if trying to tame a wild beast. "Frisk...I just got you back, please don't leave me, I don't want to forget you again." He began to lower his arm, releasing my hand, his face tear-stained and full of pain. "Not again, I can't lose you again," he whispered to himself. I stay silent, all I want is to hear his voice. He speaks again, disappointment in his tone. "If only I had been there! None of this would have happened if i...if I hadn't been so selfish!"
What was he talking about? I was the one that got myself into that situation, I was the foolish one. If I had stayed put and not worried about where he had disappeared to, none of this would have happened. I don't want to forget my Sans, I want to remember him, I want to be with him for as long as I live. I was weak in the knees and my arms were heavy, I wanted to get out of this place.
I recall putting the menu away and trying to stand up. I failed. It seemed that both Sans and Ink had noticed my struggle. Ink helped me stand on one side and Sans on the other. My 'cat form' was receding and angst was in my soul. The pain was so great that it had made me pass out once again. A glow of handsome blue filled my vision before everything began to turn black.Birds, a gust of cold wind and the smell of winter filled my awakening senses, it was early. Do I dare I open my eyes to find myself dreaming, or do I remain limp and hopeless? Suddenly from the outside world "SANS, WHERE WERE YOU AND THE HUMAN? BOTH OF YOU WERE OUT ALL NIGHT AND I WAS STARTING TO GET WORRIED."
My eyes flutter open. That voice, could it be? Am I...home?
"S'okay bro, Frisk and I are fine. All that walking around made me 'bone'tired." Papy seemed annoyed at Sans for making a pun, I couldn't help but snicker at the silly joke.
"SANS! THAT ISN'T FUNNY, YOU AND THE HUMAN COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY HURT." a sigh "I HAVE PRACTICE WITH UNDYNE LATER TODAY, SO PLEASE STAY SAFE.
"Sorry papyrus, we didn't mean to worry you...see yah to'marrow' bro." Papyrus rolls his eyes and proceeds to give his brother a hug.Sans must have heard me laughing at his puns because moments later he came into my room, a smile on his face. He spoke gently and seemed very happy. "How yah doin pal? Last night was pretty rough for you." I nod, I just want to forget about 'the incident' and move on, I look him in the eyes, hoping he sees my plead. "I understand. So Paps isn't gonna be here later, anything you want to do Frisk?" his question catches me off guard, am I ready...ready to try again? I debate about it a moment, it doesn't take long to answer myself, "Lets go to Grillby's."
~Lazy time skip~
Sans opens the door to Grillby's, a familiar scent fills my senses. oh how I missed this place. Sans and I head for the two vacant seats next to the bar, Sans orders his regular and I ask for some wine. Grillby nods and sends a strange look in Sans direction before disappearing into the back room. I could tell that Sans had something he wanted to say, but he was having a difficult time stringing his words into a sentence. It resulted in him staying quiet with blue blush creeping into his bony cheeks. I wonder what he wanted to tell me. Out of curiosity I spoke "Sans? Are you-" I was cut off by the sound of glass and plastic connecting with the bar table. Right, we ordered drinks.
The rest of the night was silent except for a pun here and there from a drunken Sans. He is such a goofball when he acts like this. I've always been told that laughter is the best medicine, and I'm addicted to this one. Maybe I'll tell him how I feel another day, for now, I'm going to enjoy this beautiful night. Thank Asgore for local bars, they always know how to make the darkest of nights bright again.
The sight of such a joyous scene fills me with Determination.
