#A3Prompt30: As teenagers, they promised to marry by 35 if they haven't found someone. He makes sure she doesn't find one. 

RJ and MAINE (during high school)

"Basta, Maine! Promise ha?"

"Anong promise, RJ?"

"...promise natin sa isa't isa na saka na tayo mag aasawa kapag 35 years old na tayong dalawa..."

"Uy, bes! Bakit tayong dalawa? Kailangan talaga sabay tayo? At baket? Boyfriend ba kita? You're not James."

"Hala, grabe siya sa akin oh! Sabi ko lang naman na dapat 35 years old na tayo pareho. Saka tayo mag aasawa."

"Oo na, RJ. Gets ko na bes. Wag kang ano."

"Promise? Deal?"

"Okay. Promise. It's a deal."

RJ and MAINE (College days)

"I can't believe it, RJ!"

"What happened? Bakit ka umiiyak uy?"

"Bes, hindi ako makapaniwala na ipinagkasundo ako nila Tatay at Nanay na ipakasal sa anak ng best friend nila."

"Huh?! Talaga ba?"

"Shit, RJ! Paano na si James?"

"Maybe...your parents have their own reasons."

"Reasons? Punyetang reasons 'yan!"

"Wag ka na umiyak, Maine. Maybe, it's for the best."

"Potek, bes RJ! I can't believe this is happening to me."

"Sino ba 'yun?"

"A certain Siegfred...ayoko siya makilala. Ever. Tangina! Pangalan pa lang, di na mapagkakatiwalaan..."

"Calm down, bes! Basta, ipakilala mo 'ko sa kanya ha!"

"Gago! Sapakin kita diyan eh."

Siegfred and Maine's Engagement day and first meeting. Maine is now 35 years old.

"Are you ready, Maine?"

"Ye-yes, Tay."

"Be nice to him, Nak."

"Opo, Nay."

"Oh, there he is..."

Then, she saw RJ coming. Maine was confused. He walked towards her and smiled. He was holding a box with the engagement ring inside.

"Bes, bakit ka nandito? RJ, anong ibig sabihin nito?"

RJ lovingly stared at her. He offered his hand to her for a handshake.

"Hi, Maine! I'm Siegfred..."
