<Jilly's POV>
---I walked back into the living room, a large glass of water in hand, and sat back down next to her on the couch. I set the water glass down on the coffee table as my control immediately returned, my face filling with shock.
"Problem?" She sneered, grabbing a lollipop she had found in her pocket immediately popping it into her mouth without hesitation.
"N-Nora! Do you even know where that's from? It could be some sort of ecstasy-pop or filled with some other drug! There are weird and untrustworthy people in a bar like that!" I had raised my voice higher than I should have but I was terrified. Having seen Nora's cold, lifeless body I couldn't stand to see it again from drug overdose or food poisoning.
"Jeez Jil'. Calm down. It's not like i'll die from it or anythin'." At the word 'die' my heart seemed to crush itsself into a fine powder. If only she knew how cruel her choice in wording was.
"I-.. I need a breath of fresh air. Stay in here and please please please don't leave the room or get into trouble."
"I'm not thaaaat drunké I cans handle meeself. - Oh and, y'know, it's not like there isn't air inside!" I let out a long sigh, a nervous chuckle following behind it. Making my way towards the door of our apartment, I extended my arm to grab my trench-like-coat and closed the door behind me. I buttoned and unbuttoned the coat a few times and fiddled with the cloth belt until I had reached the elevator. Inside it I found a tall and darkly-dressed man. His apperance was... unique. He had a distinct curved jaw and soft tired looking dull grayish-blue eyes with bags underneath them. His shoulders were broad and sharp, a compliment to his build. His nose had a slight red bump and his hair was a light coffee like brown with a soft and scruffy texture. His smile was white and neat, all of his teeth perfectly aligned. He had a soft smile on his face when he turned to greet me, tipping his fedora toward me.
"Hello there. You seem quite startled- as if you've seen a ghost. Are you alright m'am?" His voice was soft and gentle, with an obvious politeness to his heavy British accent. It seemed almost familiar.
"Hnm? Me? Oh uh.. Just.. Stuff."
"Ahh.. Stuff. I understand. By any chance, would you happen to be Jilly O'Jaeheirr?"
"Ye-Yeah.. How d'you know that?"
"I recognized your voice. As you may or may not remember, my name is Adda. It's nice to formally meet such a beautiful lady such as yourself."
"Nah ha hah. Stop right there bucko, you seem nice 'n all but I'm not into the whole romance thing. I.. Uh. I'm actually an asexual. In my case, I feel very very very little sexual attraction. Aaanywho, you're the bartender, right?"
"Correct. What may your occupation be?"
"Oh eh.. Hah.. I'm actually a student intern at the LIG Hospital. Oh.. Well I guess we're at the lobby. Y'know, I really needed that thanks for talking to me. It really helped." I exited the elevator and he followed me outside where as I began to walk farther away from him he would walk faster and closer. When I tried turning and swirving around the man known as Adda he gripped my arm so tightly that it made me jump slightly. He glared through my soul with his piercing blue and grey coloured eues and dug his nails into my arm. I felt the fear from earlier setting in again as the tears soon again found their way to my eyes. Had I angered him? Would he hurt me? Would I be the one dying instead of Nora? Wait- no. I'm just being overdramatic. He probably just wants to have a chat about Nora or somethin. Yeah. That makes sense. He seems nice enough after all..
"Jilly, we need to have a chat. And- it's quite urgent. I apologize for grabbing your arm but I need you to come to Apartment 434 later tonight. Alright?..."
"Yeah... Alright." I mumbled, the situation swirling around in my mind. The rain had been pouring onto us, and at this point it felt like the rain was weighing us down. "Such heavy rain.."
