*Ariana's POV*

I ran out, crying, trying to stop. I didn't want anyone seeing me this way. I quickly rushed to my car, making sure no one saw me. I looked around, and sobbed in my car. He was so close, so close. I could feel his heat, I could smell his cologne. I tried to push the moment out of my head.

I started my car, hearing my phone ring.

"Hey!" it was Link. "How'd things go with Nathan?"

I didn't want to reply. I waited, just staring at my window.

"Ari, you there?" he asked.

"Things were fine, I'm going home okay?" I told him, holding back some tears.

"Yeah I'll meet you there, I have a surprise for you," he sounded happy. "Don't ask though, 'll give it when your home .

I sighed, "Alright." I smiled a bit. He just got out of the hospital, what did he get?

I drove home, missing every spotlight. I didn't know why I felt so bad. I mean, I rejected the kiss. I left. Something in me just wasn't feeling okay though, it was telling me I shouldn't have done that. Weird right?

I shook away the feeling. I pulled up to the drive way, and saw Link waiting on the front step. I jumped out of the car, wanting to see if he was okay.

I gasped, "Oh my god, Link!" I rushed over to him, he swung me around.

"I'm fine I promise." His face was a bit red, probably from the dried blood, he had stitches along his forehead, cheek, a scar on his nose, his eye was black and blue. I was afraid to kiss him on the lips, it was a bit cut open. But, he still crashed his lips onto mine. "Oh, I felt you suck some blood from that. Watch out world, looks like Ariana Grande's a vampire." he joked. I gave him a little punch on the shoulder. I guess seeing him made me extra excited. "Alright jumpy, just wait. Close your eyes."

I reluctantly closed them, hearing footsteps, and the door swing open. "NO PEEKING!" I heard him yell, I smiled a bit, then felt arms wrap around me. "Open," I opened my eyes.

There in front of me, was a card on a pedestal. I looked a bit confused, but he gestured that I open it.

I ran from his grip, taking his hand with me. In the back was my best friend Alexa. I jumped up, and ran to her. I hadn't seen her in a while. She wrapped her arms around me, and we jumped up and down, and I quickly remembered. I gave Link a kiss on the cheek.

He smiled, "Anything for my girl." I gave him a hug, "Look, I'm gonna let you two talk, I'll be inside."

He left us alone, and Alexa immediately yelled, "Oh. My God?!"

I laughed, "What?"

"Why didn't you tell me you have Mr. Hunk? Even with all the bruises and stuff, he is so hot!"

"Hey back off, he's mine." She laughed, "God it's been so long." I told her.

"I know. But thanks to your boyfriend, who by the way got me a firstclass ticket to fly here, brought us back together. He's one heck of a guy, you're lucky Ari. Real lucky."

"I know I am."

I slipped on my jacket. It was killing me. I had to see her again.
