*Link's POV*
I walked into the kitchen.
Ariana had set down her keys, "Hey."
"Hey."
"I need you tell you something."
She winced a bit, putting down her stuff. I walked over to her, placing her on the counter top. I leaned down, my face close to hers.
"It's about me signing...."
"I know," she replied. Ariana sighed. "I saw the luggage."
I looked away, wanting to cry. She put her hand on my face, giving off warmth, "Scooter and I, we came down to a final decision about what I'll do." my voice cracked, "I know that Simon's offer makes me move to England, but Ari, it's an amazing offer. And Scooter, he told me at our meeting that it doesn't matter which label I choose." a tear rolled down my face, "He told me he's had me long enough, and he had his chance. And I...."
Ariana wrapped her arms around me, squeezing me close. I picked her up off the counter, she hung onto me. I tightened my grip, never wanting to let her go.
It was such a hard choice I had to make. I stayed up all night just to make sure I was positive about Simon. I told Scooter, he said it was better that way. Simon was estatic. I called up Frankie, told him. He was sad, but he said that either way I was going to be a star. I called my mom, she said my dad would be proud. I told Ariana's mom, she was so proud of me too. Everyone was proud. I wasn't sure about Ariana. Her tears said two things, and those two things were hard to understand.
All I knew was that I didn't want to leave her. I honestly couldn't leave her. I felt her crying. I tried to calm her down, make sure stop crying, but she just kept on going. I forced myself not to cry along with her, I composed myself. Even though I knew this was best, Ariana's cries told me otherwise. No, stick with this. She's happy.
I hope.
I held her there, in the kitchen, she didn't want to let go. I didn't stop her from this. All she wanted was to hold me for now, and I was fine with that. In fact, that's all I wanted. To hold her.
"Next week," I said, "We have until then. Seven days, we'll make it like old times."
*Ariana's POV*
After what Link told me, I decided to get some air, everything was happening so fast, some other things too.
I walked in, hearing some sounds of people talking. I walked into the kitchen, my mom and Link were talking. Link had a frown upon his face. I sighed, knowing he knew.
"Why?" he asked. I had told my Mom that I didn't choose either of them.
"It was for your sake," I told him, sitting down next to him. I put my hand on his. "I'm not going to hold you back."
"But," he replied. "I could have still been here for you, I," he gave me a tiny box. I gasped, feeling tears going down my face.
"No," I said, pushing it away. "I can't. Link I'm not doing this to you! I'm not holding you back!"
"And you're not," he said. He opened the box. A diamond ring sat inside, "You would have helped me."
Tears fell down my face, not wanting this to happen. I tried to stay with my decision, but everytime I told myself to stick with, Don't hold him back, my heart broke into even tinier pieces.
I stood up, attempting to talk away. Link brought me in for a hug instead.
"I love you." he said.
"To the moon and back." I replied, wiping away some tears.
"Forever and Al--" his lips crashed onto mine, us not being able to finish out sentence.
Hope you guys enjoyed!!!!
