We ran down the hallway past several classrooms. Kids looked at us weirdly. Kacy signaled for me to turn a corner. We turned right quickly and skidded into the library.
Where are the others?
They'll come soon, don't worry. We took the quickest route so it's only natural we're here first.
I nodded and looked at the librarian's desk. She wasn't there, good. We walked up to the wall. I searched for the math book and found it. I pulled it off the shelf and the doorway appeared. We walked down and the doorway closed behind us.
Kacy ran over to the hammocks and jumped in one. It swung so far left that when it came back to the right Kacy fell off.
Skills.
Shut up.
I heard the grinding of the doorway as it opened. Xander stood there with Amber, who immediately turned invisible as she saw me. I got one glimpse of her appearance, though. She had long light blue hair, tied back in a messy braid. I couldn't see her eyes, but she had dark blue suspenders (maybe denim?), with a skirt (also denim, possibly). She had high heeled dark brown boots as well, along with a light pink tanktop.
Did you see which way Jamie and Alena went?
Nope. I'm guessing the went the long way, though, considering they aren't back yet.
Okay.
Xander put his backpack down and took out a book. He sat in a beanbag chair and began reading. I couldn't see what Amber was doing, obviously. So I just laid back in a hammock and-
Bam bam bam. Someone was coming near the bookshelves. All our heads turned to it.
The door ground open and Jamie slid in.
I WON! UH! TAKE THAT ALENA!!!
The door ground shut, and then open again.
YOU HAD A HEADSTART! THAT WAS NOT FAIR!
Kacy rolled her eyes and whispered to me:
This happens every time, I swear.
I chuckled.
Guys! You can't be that loud again or someone will find us out!
Way to put a damper on the mood, Xander.
I'm not!
Keep telling yourself that, buddy. Anyways guys, I'm going to film another drawing. I need someone to help me. Hey, Jess, how about you!
Uh, no. I need her to help me with my comedy skit, thank you very much.
I called dibs on her first!
The two started fighting.
Does this happen a lot too?
Yup.
HOW ABOUT YOU TWO IDIOTS STOP FIGHTING AND LET JESS DECIDE WHO SHE WANTS TO HELP!
Jamie and Alena looked at me.
Uh, I'm going to chose Alena...
Dangit.
YES! UH! THIS PROVES I'M SO MUCH MORE COOL THAN-
SHUT UP!
Well now look who's talking. C'mon, let's go into the recording studio, Jess.
She grabbed my hand and guided me to a room with soft foam on the walls. It was big, there we multiple areas. One was a desk with headphones, a mic, and a PC. Another was just a blank desk with a couple drawing supplies on it and a camera above it. Yet another was a backgrounded area with a couch and a tripod, etc.
Alena walked over to the blank desk with the drawing supplies. She brought up a stool from the corner of the room and gestured for me to sit on it. I did. Ahe put on headphones with a mic attached. She grabbed her phone and turned on the camera.
Hey guys, Alena here, and today I'm going to be drawing Jess, the newest recruit in the youtube club.
Hi!
Okay, let's get to it!
Alena began to draw me and I noticed she got calm, like really calm. She was more focused than I've ever seen her, but then again I've only known her for the past 20 minutes. She was sketching out the proportions of my face when the bell rang.
Oops, sorry guys, I gotta get to class. I'll jumpcut this to when I get back.
She turned off the camera and looked at me, smiling. She shook the smile from her face and said:
Meet back here after school so I can finish drawing you.
Okay.
We exited the recording studio and everyone headed to their separate classes.
