I scurry out into the hallway, looking left and right. No Jocks. Phew. So far I've managed to avoid Alex surprisingly well. My schedule is pretty cool, I have classes I really love like choir, geometry and this really cool computer class at the end of the day. However, there are some classes like chemistry, Spanish, and... I shudder, gym.
I swear those gym uniforms should be illegal. I'm more cautious about myself than some of the other girls, who order the smallest size possible on purpose. The school day is 8 periods in total, but I really enjoyed it (except for English class). The last bell rings marking the end of my first day here. I text my mom that I'll be staying after school for some kind of academic help, that's the only way she'll let me stay. She tells me to stay as long as I need and that she loves me, I tell her thanks and that I love her too.
I shove my phone into my back pocket and jump up three flights of stairs to get to the library before I get trampled by high schoolers. I go the back and look around. There's only one person here and it's some guy on the back computers. How he got here without skipping class boggles my mind, but oh well. He's typing some kind of assignment up, so he probably won't see me if I enter our 'lair', as I've dubbed it. I go to the bookshelves and find the math book and pull it, the door opens up and I slip inside before it closes on me.
The lights burst into life and I look around to see no one here. Weird to believe I'm the first one here when I just joined today. Oh well, I've always been like that. I go over to the offices and open a door, its has purple and black sound foam covering the walls. Its has a whole computer area set up with mics and facecam. And there's another area in the room too, it has a desk with writing utencils and a spinning chair.
All of this is so amazing, I just say one thing:
"Woah."
