~Jess' point of view~

"It's 6:00, why?"

"I was just wondering what time it was. You wanna go check on kacy? I gotta stop by my house and find some clothes for school today. We aren't exactly the same size jess"

Alena motions to jess' clothes that she borrowed for pjs. The tangtop is hanging a bit too low and the shorts are too short.  Jess starts to laugh as Alena glares at her but has a little smile on her face thinking of how stupid she must look right now.  Jess takes off her big sweater and gives it to Alena, Alena puts it on and It goes down to Her thighs. Jess goes to her closet and puts on a black graphic tee shirt, some black skinny jeans, and her black D.C.'s. She puts her hair up into a ponytail and puts on her black framed glasses.   She look at Alena and smiles.

Ok let's go!

Are you gonna tell your parents or just like sneak out orrrrrr?

Oh um. Na my mom will just think I went to school since she leaves like an hour later than me.

Ok so through the window then?

Yeah.   Wanna jump down or like do that thing you just did.

Alena laughs and looks outside.  It's a bit brighter than it was earlier.   The sun is barely up in the air.  The light is barely making its way through the leaves as Alena and Jess stand in the window. Alena puts her hand on the side of the window and you can see her eyes slowly change multicolored as vines start to spread across the window sill and down the side of the house. Slowly weaving its self into a ladder-like object.

all we gotta do is climb down the vines. cmon slowpoke.

Alena and Jess climb down the vines and down the block. breathing in the morning air as they make their way to Alenas house. Alena smiles and continues to pull the sweater down

So Alena.  How did you find out that you have powers.  And how on earth do you have two of them I've never really heard of people being dual wielders. Not even from back in the days before the war.

Alena laughs at the question and starts thinking

Well. Me and Nuno were born on the same day you know that but. *laughter* my parents were wielders too. My mom was in control of fire and my dad of water. Me and Nuno each got those powers from them. I got my moms and he got my dads. I have control of nature as well and Nuno of ice and stuff like that. My parents said it meant we were destined to be something great. They said there was this prophecy or something made back in the days of the war. That those born in control of two elements will change the world *laughs hard* I feel like we were just lucky. It makes no sense. What in the world is there to change. The only thing I have to fight is Alex. Anyways how'd I find out about my powers. Hm. Well I guess I always knew I would have some because of my parents but. I think the funniest story is when I found out about my nature ones. I was about 6 when this happened. Me and  Nuno were at a daycare thing while my parents were at work. So we were on the playground and I was watching him because I was always told to take care of him.  So I was watching and this little kid pushes him off the swing.  He was an ass so I expected it from him. So I went up to him and pushed him. *serious face* I didn't want him to hurt my brother anymore so I yelled at him to buzz off. So he pushed me back on the ground and went to punch me. I put my hands out to stop him and I heard something burst out of he ground and I'm screaming.  So I opened my eyes and saw him hanging upside down by a branch around his ankles. Let's just say he didn't bother us again
She smiles at the memory as we turn a corner and down a couple more blocks
Until Alena stops in front of a federal adam type of house and motions of me to follow.

Come on. This is my place.

I'm right behind you.

Hey guys it's the author here. Sorry for the severely late update but I've been effed up with school work. And my tablet I use to write this story wasn't working for my life. But it's better now so I'll hopefully be updating more often.  Or be posting on my other stories as well.  Stay safe.  And love to all my lil potato chips❤️.  See you guys in the next chapter!!!!!
