9. June 30th

June 30th, the day the Nanase twins were born. They're now 18, just a few seconds apart from each other...

Everyone slept at Haruka's house the day before their birthday. Nagisa was still sulking after that incident from last night. He couldn't believe that he almost spat out the secret to everyone. That was a close one. Makoto and Rin were able to change the subject while Rei took care of Nagisa. Haruna and Haruka still had no clue what was going.

Miharu was the first to awake, then Ai. Ai logged on back on Ramblr and created another text post related to last night's situation. She was about to make it private, but instead showed the post to all her followers. Miharu got out her phone and texted everyone, lettin them know that it was time to sneak out of the houe while the twins were still asleep. Rin was the first to receive Miharu's text message, then Nagisa, Makoto, and Rei.

"Miharu, today's the day," Ai smiled at Miharu.

"Of course! Today's the day the twins finally celebrate their birthday together! This is going to be wonderful, just watch!" Miharu, so upbeat and headstrong, waited for the others to reply. Ai, on the other hand, undressed herself from her night clothes and put on some nice summer clothes. She wore a light blue skirt with a white shirt with heart patterns printed all over the front side of it. Ai put her hair up in a bun and proceeded out the room.

Makoto, Rei, Rin, and Nagisa got dressed and waited for Miharu and Ai. Haruka and Haruna were still sound asleep.

"Ready to head back to the school?" Nagisa beamed with excitement. Rin gave an annoyed sighed when Nagisa spoke, especially in the morning. Rei and Makoto smiled at Nagisa and walked toward the door. Rin spotted Ai coming out of her room and waved at her to come with them. Miharu appeared minutes later.

"Let's go," said Ai. The group headd out the door, one by one, and left the twins to sleep in for the day.

-ON THE WAY TO IWATOBI HS-

Miharu lead the pack as they headed for Iwatobi High School. Nagisa was chatting alongside Ai while she was blogging on Ramblr, and Rei and Rin continued to tease each other with ridiculous nicknames. Makoto was the anchor of the group, keeping the guys going every step of the way. He thought about his little confrontation with Haruka the night before, thinking that he should do something about the situation.

"Makoto, thanks for being there for my sister. You're a better big brother than I am."

Haru must really feel guilty about leaving Haruna alone like that. What can I do though?

"Here we are!" Miharu told the others. They stood in front of the school gates, waiting for someone to come out to greet them.

"Can't wait! Can't wait!" Nagisa cheered to himself.

"I don't think anyone's inside, though," Makoto said with great doubt on his mind. He still looked a little worried due to the twins' current relationship with each other.

"Ahhh, let's go then," Ai suggested. The others then followed her without any questions.

-AT HARUKA'S HOUSE-

Haruka was the first to wake up, and Haruna stayed sound asleep. He waltzed into the kitchen to cook up some daily fish. He didn't bother waking Haruna up, knowing that Haruna needed the rest after all she's been through. Before he headed into the kitchen, Haruka sat beside Haruna, petting her on the head, telling her happy birthday, and wishing her good luck in the future. He felt he had to make up for all the things he missed out on throughout the years, and that it was his duty as her brother to look after her in her time of need. Makoto and Rin acted as one of Haruka's idols when it came to being an older sibling, and they're great examples. Haruka wanted to break out of his shell, be close to his sister, and stay at home to be with loved ones. He also didn't want to drift apart from Makoto, feeling that connection of bondage tearing apart, strand by strand, minute by minute, action by action. Haruka didn't want Makoto to forget about him.
