Fuck Halloween

|Lucy's P.O.V|

The rest of the week passed by in a blur. Juvia apologized once, but that was because Cana forced her. I accepted the apology not wanting anymore drama and moved on with my life.

Gray stopped by my locker every morning of every day. And at lunch he would ask if I could sit with him, I politely declined every request, until today. Cana and Juvia weren't at school today, which was weird they wouldn't skip, their parents would have their head if they ever found out.

They wouldn't answer my calls or texts either. Which was very weird. It was lunch now, I had no choice but to sit with Gray he was the only friend I had today. I'm not very social. And if I do talk I only let the nice things out. Which is one of the main reason people like me.

"I could beat him up any time! He's a pussy that's why he didn't come in front of Talia's Pizza where I told him to meet up." Sting yelled as his friends laughed.

Sting and Loke have beef together. Sting could be such a airhead, and so full of himself, which is why Loke and Sting are incompatible. I've never meet or seen Loke.

"Such a stupid story." Gray mumbled under his breath.

I lightly laughed.

"So how's your day?"

"Good I guess. What about you?" I warmly smile.

"It was boring, until you joined me at lunch." He wiggled his eyebrows.

"Its only cause Cana and Juvia aren't here today." I stook my tounge out.

"Ya." His smile turned to a firm line as I mentioned Juvia's name.

"Dude so who's going to knock on the Devil's door?" Sting stopped talking about his football team, which I was glad for I'm sure his Ego would of popped if he continued.

Really??? Why is everyone talking about Halloween?! We're is June we more than enough time.

I furrowed my eyebrows together. Devil's door? I've only been living in this town for a three years yet I still don't know half of the stuff that goes on here.

"Its the old abandoned mansion that's in the woods not too far from here. People dare each other to knock on the door every Halloween expecting to get a ghost to pop out. Its stupid really last year nobody dared to speak about it, because the year before that a girl went missing, her name was Levy. She was Gajeels girlfriend. Sting dared her, well he blackmailed her. That's why Gajeel and Sting don't get along." Gray whispered in my ear.

"Has anyone else gone missing?" I asked with wide eyes.

Dam a girl went missing for two years?!

"No, just that girl. The rest would come back scared shitless saying they saw a man in the house." His voice sounded distant.

"Did they find the body?"

There was a long pause before he answered, "no."

I turned to look at him. His eyes held fear. Why fear? I didn't know until I heard Sting's voice.

"I think Juvia gets to pick this year." Sting asked Lyon.

"Ya she picks this year." Lyon confirmed as he types away in his phone.

"Lucy whatever happens don't go-" Gray was in the middle of telling me something but was interrupted by my phone ringing.

The caller ID read Cana.

"I have to answer this, I'll see you later bye." I got up picking up my backpack from the floor and answering the phone call.

"Hey why weren't you at school today?" I ask as soon as I answer the call.

"Juvia felt sick today, so I stayed over at her place today to watch over her." Cana answers.

"Oh." I reply.

"Anyways the party is tomorrow at my house, Juvia is gonna pick you up. Don't forget to wear your dress we bought at the mall. And I have to go, I'm leaving her place right now to prepare the house for the party. Bye" She ends the call.

I stick my phone in my small backpack pocket. I'm fucked, today Cana is hosting a party. So is Mira, fuck fuck fuck.

I can't believe I forgot. I groan as I walk out of school. Today was early out. Lunch is last then after that you can leave. This school is weird. No scratch that, the whole town is weird.

My phone repeatedly vibrates, I reached into my backpack pocket and pull my phone out. It was Gray calling.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hey, umm so my mom kicked me out of the house today and I don't wanna ask anyone else because I'm sure they will ask questions, that I dont wanna answer......so uh can I crash at your place tonight?" Gray awkwardly asked.

"Ya its fine, your gonna have to sleep in my room though, my dad locked all the spare rooms and I don't have the keys..." I didn't realize how weird that sounded.

"Ya its fine, thanks a bunch lulu."

"I'm in front of the school near the stairs." I look around hoping to find him. And to my luck he's already at the top of the stairs. He waves at me and ends the call.

We both silently walk to my car, I unlock it. He opens the door to the passenger seat, and I open the door to the drives seat I turn the car on, we both shut our doors.

I reverse, then drive out of the school parking lot into the packed streets.

After what felt hours of none stop driving, we finally made it to my house.

"Want anything to eat?" I ask Gray as I stop in front of the kitchen.

"Nah I'm good." He shrugs.

He's hungry, he's just shy. I thought. If I were to be at a strangers house I would act the same way.

I pick up two boxes of Smores Pop tarts and lead the way to my room.

"What do you wanna watch?" I ask as I hand him a box of pop tarts.

"Stranger things?" He suggests.

"Stranger things it is." I nod.

I turn on the TV, then click straight to Netflix. The show then starts.

We basically had a TV show marathon. By the end of the day with a half eaten poptart in my mouth my head was leaning on Gray's shoulder.

My eyelids were slowling closing.

"Lulu wake up." Gray softly nudges me.

I quickly sit up.

"Ya?" I rubb my eyes.

"You fell asleep on me." Gray laughs.

"Mhm what time is it?." I lay down on the rug.

"Your so adorable.....And beautiful." I felt a hand lightly stroke my cheek.

And that was the last thing I heard before I fell in a deep slumber.
