|Lucy's P.O.V|

The kitten meowed, crying in the small box he was in. Still I have no name for him. Natsu carried the last bag of cat items in the back seat. While I sat in the passenger seat I turn around pulling the small kitten out of the box.

He purred in my lap, his soft small body providing little warmth and comfort.

"Do I drive you to your house?" Natsu closed the door.

I nodded. Awkward silence seeped in, my fingers brush through the little critters hair.

"Well where do you live?" He laughed.

Now he laughed. At school he's a different person.

"Oh." I told him my address not letting go of the kitten.

His expensive sports car roared to life. We turned from street to street, my fingers began to twitch again. The same cycle. As much as I swallowed, still the knot in my throat wouldn't go away.

Houses passed by in a blur. The street lights were small blobs in the fogged window.

"You ok?" He watched me from the corner of his eye.

I nodded silently.

He laughed. Yes he laughed. I gave him a quizzing look.

"Forgot to take your pills?" He turned in a familiar street.

I took great offense.

"Forgot your scumbag act at school?" Arching my eyebrow I turn to look at him.

Wrong. Girls don't cuss Lucy. Be girly.

"So why'd you go out with a group of guys late at night?"

I ignore his question, scratching the kittens back.

"Really the silent game?"

"You call me to come pick you up scared shitless. Least you can do is tell me what's up."

He did have a point. But where do I start?

"Why did you ignore me at school?" My voice was somehow heard over the cars engine.

"The schools sweetheart can't be seen talking to the schools outcast."

The schools sweetheart?

"I've had enough of this shit! Just hours ago I was told to act more feminine! One of my rare friends became a fucking snake! Be pretty, be nice! What if I don't want to be nice?! I'm not a goddam doll! You can't tell me what to do!" Accidentally I held the kitten to harsh, he jumped back hissing.
