|Lucy's P.O.V|

"You will look so hot as a nurse!" Cana squeaked.

"No way! You would look waay more hot as a sexy police officer." Juvia cooed.

I silently drank my iced caramel coffee as they flailed around their perfectly manicured hands as they talked trying to figure out their Halloween costume, which by the way was months away.

I still didn't know what I was gonna be, it didn't matter though I'm sure Cana or Juvia were gonna pick it out for me. And Halloween is months away.

"So what are you gonna be for Halloween Lucy?" Cana asks as she flips her long soft brown hair behind her shoulder.

"I don't know yet." I shyly admit.

Shy, why? Oh because they rarely ask for my opinion. Yup that's the type of friends I have. I was more than surprised.

"Well that's why we're here for." Juvia takes a sip out of her hot chocolate.

"I think you should be a cat." Cana stares at me I'm guessing she was imagining me in a cat costume.

"As I was saying I think you should be a nurse and I'll be a police officer." Juvia looks directly at Cana.

Mhm ya, go on Juvia just steer the conversation away from me.

"Oh my god we are gonna look so hot." Cana yells. Catching a few of people's attention in the small coffee shop.

Nice going.

I couldn't help but let my mind wander. What was my dad and mom doing in Hawaii right now? My dad offered to take Michell in a early vacation. Just the two of them. I'm not a headless chicken, they went on a vacation just the two of them for a very obvious reason that I'm not gonna mention if you know what I mean. They're gonna stay in Hawaii for three whole weeks.

They didn't ask me to come because school was still in. But I'm sure if I was out of school, they still wouldn't invite me. My mom doesn't like me a lot, or should I say step-bitch.

I wouldn't think she deserves the title "Step-mom" but it's just a title. I don't really care if she likes me or not, I don't like her either, she knows.

My dad began seeing her when I was fifteen. She didn't like me even back then. I still didn't either, she's a fucking tramp.

"So its settled!" Cana slams her coffee on the table, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I'm going to be a nurse, Juvia you're going to be a police officer, and Lucy you're going to be a cat." Cana immediately starts typing away on her phone, obviously texting everyone so they won't "steal" her idea.

Badly I wanted to scream, "it's months away chill bitch! Nobody is thinking of Halloween right now!" But the good human being I am, I stayed quiet.

There's nothing more she hates than a living human being twining with her, especially if it's a girl.

I was sure she meant for me to wear a very revealing cat costume.

"Can I wear-" I was rudely interrupted by Juvia.

"No your not gonna wear a cat onesie Halloween isn't for nuns." Juvia snaps.
