Chapter 4: Detention Buddies.

I ignored Shay and Mia for the rest of the day, not that it was long until school ended.. We only had one period left.

Mia ignored me just as much as I her but Shay kept trying to gain my attention. I don’t know why I am so pissed off at Shay for. I mean yeah I could have used her back up but I understand that she didn’t want to pick sides.

I just thought that she would stand up for me considering I got into a punch up for her only last Friday.

Not contradicting yourself at all Summer.

When the last bell of the day went off, I couldn’t have been happier. Then I groaned. I forgot we had detention.

I sighed resigning myself to spending another 30 minutes with Shay and Mia. I walked back onto the school grounds and headed towards A block.

I stopped in front of the 12A door, the door that I was as familiar with as I was with the back of my hand. It is the official detention room and lets just say I have spent at least half my high school life in here.

I closed my eyes then reopened them at the same time I opened the door. When I stepped into the room I saw 3 things almost that stopped my heart.

The first thing was the glare Mia was sending my way. I raised my eyebrow at her in question but she just scoffed and flipped her hair at me. Okayyyy then.

The second was the look Shay was giving me. It was nothing like the one from Mia. Shay was silently pleading with me to sit next to her. Her grey eyes filled with regret.

The last thing that almost stopped my heart were the two boys sitting at the back of the classroom.

Gabriel and Leo.

I ignored the smirk Leo sent me and made my way past the usual detentioners.

I have to admit to being pretty impressed by the fact that Leo had managed to get himself a detention on his first day.

Mr. Stevenson didn’t even acknowledge my late entrance and continued to read his book.

I rolled my eyes at the bad teaching quality at my school and sat down two rows behind Shay.

I pulled out my sketchbook and pencils and started doodling an eye. I curved the end tip upwards slightly giving the shape of the eye an exotic look. I drew the pupil and shaded certain sections of it to give it a more realistic look.  I flicked my pencil up softly for the eyelashes and sent a few of them stray so it wasn’t to unlife like.

I started on the eyebrow next. I did a rough outline of the shape arch I wanted then I started filling it in. By the time I was finished I was quite proud of myself.

It looked fairly decent.

I looked up when I heard someone sit in the seat next to mine. I looked at Shay with a ‘what do you want’ look but there wasn’t any point because she wasn’t looking at me but at the drawing.
