"You're gonna hit the ice." Gerard said shakily. Frank squeezed his arm, his eyes glued to the road.
"I'm not gonna hit the ice--" Of course, the car fishtailed. Not majorly, but it did. Gerard glared at the man in the driver seat. "Well, I mean, we're not gonna hit the ice again." Frank said, coughing awkwardly.
Mikey sighed from his position on the floor of the car.
"How long until we reach the ski hill? I'm tired of getting kicked by Jesse."
"You could've laid in the trunk." Jesse said jovially. Mikey rolled his eyes.
"Haha. I'll take you're feet than three bags of ski gear and Frank's snowboard."
"And mine!" Jesse chimed. Mikey rolled his eyes again, looking up at Gerard, who was busy making love eyes to the driver.
Melanie giggled as she watched the two next to her low key bicker like an old married couple.
Lana chuckled slightly as well but returned to looking out the window at the dead, snowy trees that passed. Not long after did she take notice to Gerard looking at Frank as if he was the best thing since sliced bread.
Mel silently put her headphones in and played her music, looking out the window.
Ever so slowly, Jesse leaned in close to Mel's ear to listen to whatever music she was playing. This was the closest he would get to listen to music since he forgot his phone at his house.
The drive was pretty much silent the rest of the way, with a few hums from Gerard or Jesse along the way.
Frank pulled into one of the slick parking spaces. He turned off the ignition, and sat up.
"Go grab your stuff, we're here." Frank said cheerfully, and just loud enough to be heard over the headphones of others. Mikey was the first to climb out of the small car, immediately stumbling over his gangly legs. He pulled open the trunk of the car and retrieved his skis and sports kit.
Lana followed quickly after, stretching as soon as she got out. Jesse quickly followed her and went to the back where Mikey was to retrieve his own items. Melanie, stuffing her phone in her pocket, got out and sighed as she looked at the view of trees and mountains.
Frank and Gerard exited the car at the same time, imediantly linking hands at the trunk. They retrieved their stuff, following behind the group as they all waded to the cabin.
"Fuck it's cold." Gerard murmured, speeding his stride. Frank chuckled quietly, squeezing Gerard's hand
"Well, we'll be home soon enough." Frank assured him.
