Hadley's Pov
When I walked in the room her eyes were full with tears but also with confusion."Um,hey Lauren do u remember me?"She just stared at me she didn't answer. The thing that's worst than getting abused is Lauren not remembering me.I stared at the ground until she spoke then I looked at her."I don't remember u...I'm sorry."She stuttered trying to talk but in my eyes she talked to me even though she didn't remember me which is a good thing."It's okay,its not your fault." She just kept staring at me and turning her head to the side as if she was trying to figure out who I was."My name's Hadley." "Hi Hadley." "Hey Lauren." "Hadley" "Yeah." "Can u do me a favor?" "Yeah sure whatever." "Can u tell me a little bit of what I forgot?"I sat down in the chair against the wall."Like what?" "Like the people for starters." "Oh well, there's your adoptive mom,Victoria.She adopted u and your sister Jessica,2 years ago. Um,u and Jessica had a rough childhood.Ya kept moving from foster homes to foster homes. Jessica is older than u by a year. By the way your 15 and your birthday is June 14." She slowly nodded so I kept going."Um, there's Morgan.She's yours sister's best friend.She likes to get into trouble and that's when you'll usually hang out with her unless I was around." "Why wouldn't I hang out with her with u around?" "No u would hang out with her but when she wanted to get into trouble u would decline cause u knew I didn't like trouble." "Oh" "The guys,James,Calvin,Trevor and especially Ace.James is Ace's cousin.Ace always gets into trouble and James bail him out. Trevor is Morgan's boyfriend. James is dating Victoria's biological daughter,Elizabeth. Ace is dating Ashley but he would always flirt around and do a little more with u." "What about u?" "What about me?" "What were u to me?" "Oh,....we were like sisters maybe even twins.We were always inseparable.I would always ask about your life and u wouldn't tell me if something was wrong but I would've known anyway.Then u would ask about mine and when I told u,u would've gotten mad. But then I would try to convince u that I was fine to calm u down." "Why would I get mad?" "Cause..um...I get abused by my father back at home and u knew it." "Why didn't I go to the police?" "Cause I made u promise that u wouldn't." "Why would u do that?" "I don't know,I guess cause I love my father and I know he doesn't mean to hurt me.Its just he has a drinking and drug addiction problem.When he's sober he's the best father on earth to me but when he's drunk its like a light switch just turned off.When the light is on,he's at his best.When its off its like he's at his worst." "So I was always protecting u." "Yeah u always got mad when I just couldn't." "Why couldn't u?" "Well cause, u only live once and why use it on the bad times when u can enjoy the fun times. That's what I was trying to teach u.Your a quick leaner but when it comes to any life lessons it took u a while."Her eyes started to close slowly but she quickly opened them as much as she could."I'm sorry if I'm boring u." "No your not boring me.Its just its kinda hard to stay awake." "Oh then go to sleep, u need to get some rest anyway."I got to leave then she said. "Thank u Hadley, I wish I remembered u.U seem like a great friend and person." "Thank u Lauren,I wish u never forgot. Cause u were the best person and best friend." Then her eyes completely closed so I walked out.When I walked out all I could do was cry."I lost my best friend!" That's when a crying Jessica came and gave me a tight long hug.We both knew that we both lost her.There we all were outside in the waiting room.The guys were all quiet and leaning against the wall or staring at the ground.Ace was gonna storm out but James told him that going out and starting a fight wouldn't help anything. Trevor was comforting Morgan who look like she was gonna break down. Victoria tried to hold it in but soon she broke so deeply that she had to go out to get fresh air.She cared for Jessica and Lauren as if they were her own.Morgan and Lauren usually argued here and there but to Morgan, Lauren was like her baby sister that she never had. The girl that's in that hospital room is broken, confused and hurt. She's in pain physically and mentally.She couldn't turn her head without turning it slowly so it wouldn't hurt as much.She kept stuttering cause talking was difficult for her.She cant remember anything except for what got her into this in the first place. We all just want her but now the new her may not be the old her and that's something we all gonna have to cope with.
