I don't sleep at all that night. I lay in my bed until 8 o'clock, when Annabelle comes rapping on my door telling me to come to breakfast. I drag myself out of bed and to the bathroom. I put on clean clothes and comb through my hair. I rehearse what I'm going to say to Annie in the mirror, and head out.

Talon and Annabelle sit at the table, eating. I look around, but I can't find Annie. She's not in the kitchen or the living room.

"Where's Annie?" I ask as I sit down next to Annabelle and across from Talon. Talon is busy chewing his scrambled eggs, so he just gestures towards her closed bedroom door. "But doesn't she have to eat?" I ask.

"She finished before you came out," Annabelle says simply. I try not to act upset and focus on picking apart my blueberry muffin. Annie will have to talk to me eventually, right? I need to give her advice for her private session with the Gamemakers.

When everyone's done eating, Annabelle says Annie and Talon will need to be down in the training center in twenty minutes. I talk to Talon, and he says he's going to do some things with a spear, and make a fish net and a hook, since we are from District 4. Annie doesn't come out of her room.

"Okay, Annie and Talon!" says Annabelle excitedly. "It's time to head down to the training center!" Talon walks towards the elevator, and Annie opens her door. She's wearing her training suit, and her brown hair is back in a ponytail. I run towards her.

"Annie!" I try to hug her, but she pushes me off and procedes towards the elevator. Is she seriously still shutting me out? I watch her step into the elevator with Talon.

"Good luck, you guys," I say as the elevator doors shut.
