tyler and josh were taking a stroll along the sidewalk of their old neighborhood.

they were admiring how the leaves were falling off their homes.
falling off the place that they grew up on until this moment.
possibly falling to move onto new adventures.

the leaves were a lot like tyler and josh in that way;
like the leaves, tyler and josh left this very street to go on to their new adventure.

tyler looked up to josh and interlocked their fingers.

"hey joshie?"

"yeah ty?"

"do you ever wish you could...
never mind, it's stupid."

tyler looked down defeated and studied his shoes.

"nothing you say is stupid ty.
please tell me."

josh looked at tyler with pleading eyes, trying to encourage his friend.

"okay well, do you ever wish you could turn back time?"

josh smiled and replied with a simple,
"all the time ty."

after a pause he chuckled.
"remember when we first meet?"

tyler nodded.
"of course. it all started with that lilac."

a little boy, about the age of three or four, looked over at another boy playing with girl.

he was too shy to go ask to play with them so he asked his mom to go up to them.

"mamma! can you ask dem play with me?"

his mom looked at her kid and smiled.

"of course honey bunches."
she ruffled his hair and stood up from the bench she was sitting at.

"wait!"
josh yelled to his mother.

she turned at looked upon her son.
"yes sweat?"

josh picked himself up off the ground and ran over to a garden of lilacs.

"can you give this to dem?"
he asked while shyly moving his foot back and forth.

"who? the girl?"

"no mamma! the boy!"
josh corrected.

his mom nodded, grinning. she started her way over to the children while josh stayed back and watched anxiously.

he saw his mom crouch beside the boy and hand him the lilac saying sentences that josh couldn't make out.

she pointed at josh and the boy looked over. he gave josh a big smile.

josh blushed and slowly started to build the confidence to walk over there. the boy seemed to give him courage.

he made it over there, palms sweaty and looked at the boy clearly for the first time.

he had brown hair a chocolate eyes. his smile was huge and could probably make a dark room light up.

"hi."
josh said to him.

"hello! me name is tyler!"
the chocolate eyed boy replied showing his toothy grin.

josh suddenly calmed and sat in between his mom and tyler.

"i'm joshua."

"hi jishwa!"

josh giggled.
"it's joshua!"

"that's what i said. jishwa!"

josh was laughing a lot at the boys tiny mistake and tyler soon joined in.

"you're funny tyler."

the boys conversation went along and josh soon found out the girls name was melanie.

she was younger then the boys and always hung out with tyler at the playground.

they carried on playing very nicely together until josh's mom called out,
"time to leave hon!"

"kay, momma."

josh stood up and said his goodbyes to his newly made friends.

"bye melanie! bye ty!"

tyler looked at josh a giggled.
"ty?" he asked.

"yep! that's me new name for you ty!"

tyler smiled and waved at josh as he walked off.

"bye jishwa!

"hm, okay ty."

tyler lifted his head and kissed josh's cheek.

"i love you jishwa."
