Sans uses his magic to retrieve the poison of the spiders from my body, and as soon as he's finished he takes me into a tight embrace again.
"Sans..." I say. "I'm fine... really."
"Baby, I was a jerk," he says. "You... you need to go wherever you need to go. I only reacted that way because... I never, ever want to lose you, Freckles."
I sigh softly, and put my arms fully around him. Then I internally start to panic when I feel his back moving up and down several times, similar to hiccups. Only, it's not hiccups.
"Sans?" I ask.
He's sobbing.
"I just..." his voice creaks. "I've been alone for the longest time. Every day was the same. I'd go to my post, sell hot dogs and hot cats, then return home, annoy Paps, eat something. Every day was always the same. Don't get me wrong," while I hug him I shift him so that he looks at me, "it was nice and all. I like my life. But it was hard to take my mind off the past."
I look deeply at him.
"And now," he continues, "you arrived. You, a beautiful human, who changed my life in less than two weeks. You came here so silently, you laid eyes on me, on Paps, on Undyne, Alphys, Grillby... and you didn't care that we were monsters. And I... I'm glad you came. You're my everything, Freckles. You've made everything so much better, so much more enjoyable, so much brighter."
"Sans..." I cup his cheek.
He holds my hand softly. "But you don't deserve to be held back, Freckles. I was a real jerk and I'm sorry... so, go home. Don't-"
"Sans," I say. He looks back at me with a slight blue shade on his face. "I'm not going anywhere."
He tilts his head in slight disbelief. "What?"
"I said I'm not going anywhere," I reply. "You're my everything too, Sans. Not because I'm vulnerable without you and anything can kill me, but because... I'm falling for you, I'm crazy about you."
Sans leans in and kisses me passionately. I lean back against a rock and he pins me to it. With his right hand he firmly holds my waist, and with his left hand he cups my neck. For this moment, I feel like everything is right. The way it should be. Maybe that's even why I ran into Muffet, to make sure I'd make it back to Sans' side.
Sans soon breaks the kiss, slowly, not hurrying. His white pupils look into my brown eyes, and he shifts this time to take me in his arms. In front of the rock, we spoon. Neither of us says anything. He just leans his head on mine, tracing his finger over my hand while he also feels my heart beating.
"I've never felt so safe," I say.
"Well get used to it, Freckles," he replies and plants a small kiss on my head.
I close my eyes and relax a lot, feeling that absolutely nothing can hurt me. When I open my eyes again, I see a little spider walking before me. I jump, startled, causing Sans to giggle.
"Aw, baby, relax," he says and kisses my head again. "It's just one spider, it ain't gonna hurt ya. Weave come a long way for that."
I giggle at his spider-related pun and let him keep hugging me. Then, another spider walks in front of me, putting me on edge.
"Sans?"
"Chill, Freckles," he says and begins kissing at my neck. "I told you. Two ain't gonna hurt ya."
A third spider walks by.
"Except..." Sans says, staring at it.
A fourth, fifth and sixth walks by.
