Chapter 12

Week 1 Day 7 {Day 6 as Aidan's Slave}

"You carry lunch?" Chloe asked Dustin as the two of them came out of their Art class.

What she honestly found weird was how he was in every single she had so far. Either they rigged the system while making his schedule or this was God's doing.

"Well...Only once a week..." he trailed off.

"Oh, okay. Are you carrying it with you right now?" she asked.

He nodded.

"Yeah." he said.

"Great! I'll take you to meet my friend." she told him as they headed outside and over to the big oak tree that her and her friends usually hang out at.

Ronnie was already there, eating a beef burrito.

"Ronnie!" Chloe called out.

Ronnie looked up and she almost dropped her burrito.

"Hey, Chloe! So, I see that you brought Mister New Boy, as well." she noted.

"Hey. I'm Dustin." he introduced.

"I'm Ronnie. My actual name is Emmy, but please call me Ronnie." Ronnie told him.

He nodded as him and Chloe sat down.

"So," Dustin took out his black and yellow striped lunchbox and he opened it. "Is it just the two of you out here?" he asked, pulling out some nachos along with a bottle of red Kool-Aid.

Ronnie shook her head.

"No. Chloe's stepbrother and our friend James are usually here, too." Ronnie pointed out.

"What happened to them?" he asked.

"Aidan got into a fight with Chloe's ex-boyfriend and he got suspended along with Tyler. As for James, we have no idea why he left." Ronnie explained.

"And Aidan is...?" Dustin questioned.

"Oh, Aidan? That's Chloe's stepbrother. And as for Tyler, that's Chloe's ex-boyfriend." Ronnie explained.

"I see..." Dustin trailed off.

Ronnie looked over at Chloe.

"Speaking of, why did James suddenly disappear?" Ronnie asked.

Chloe shrugged.

"Have no idea. Maybe he got a little jealous after hearing that Tyler kissed you~" Chloe hinted.

Ronnie blushed furiously.

"No!" she complained.

Dustin laughed.

"My guess is that you like James?" Dustin guessed as he looked at Ronnie.

Ronnie nodded.

"Well, I guess so...But! The most obvious thing is Chloe's crush on Aidan!" she declared.

"Chloe likes her stepbrother?" he questioned.

"Yeeup! She says that it shouldn't be happening, but I disagree with her." Ronnie pointed out.

"But we're related!" Chloe whined.

"Actually, not really. You two are step siblings, so your blood isn't the same. So, it is possible for you and him to have a relationship." Dustin stated smartly.

Chloe let out a deep sigh.

"Look, I'll talk to James tomorrow." Ronnie said.

"You know where James lives?" Chloe questioned.

"If we weren't friends, then I wouldn't have even said that." Ronnie stated.

"You're right. A friend who helps out a friend in trouble is a great friend, indeed." Dustin spoke up.

Ronnie let out a bubbly laugh (which was quite the shocker for Chloe).

"You're right. You know, I like you a lot." she told him.

Dustin had a bashful look on his face as he looked down at his face.

"Th-Thanks..." he stammered out as the two girls laughed at how cute he looked when he was bashful.

"Mom! Dad! I'm ba- - -" Chloe stopped once she saw a shirtless Aidan in the kitchen. "Um...where's Mom and Dad?" she asked.

Aidan turned to look at her and she gasped.

"Aidan! What the hell happened to you!?" she nearly exclaimed as she walked over to him.

"The answer to your first question is that Dad's at work and Mom went grocery shopping. As for the second question, I totally forgot that Jared was Tyler's brother and so, Tyler began to talk trash about you and Ronnie, so I beat him up again." he explained.

It was silent for a second before she walked up to him and hugged him. 

"It's okay. You don't need to do this for me." she told him as she put her hands on his back.

That was when he let out a hiss.

"Huh? What's wrong, Aidan?" she asked as she pulled away from the hug.

"Uh...You see..." he trailed off.

"Turn around!" she commanded.

He nodded as he turned around and she gasped, seeing at least a million of baby scratches and one big, long scratch on his back.

"Oh my god! Aidan, go grab me the first aid kit!"

*Authors Note: I know that this chapter was short and the next one might be short, as well. But, I'm trying my hardest to put out what I need to put out and with final exams coming up, it's just gonna be harder.
