Fallen For the Enemy (Joker Fanfiction)

"The hell did you see Adair?"

    He walked with me to an elevator and he tapped the button. "So obviously you're Bruce Wayne." I said, holding a maniacal smile. He just scoffed. The elevator opened, but it was not any normal elevator. It held a car that I recognized as the one that had arrested me on the last robbery.

    "Can I drive?" I said, half sarcastic and half wanting to drive us to the middle of the ocean. "Are you high?" He said, opening the drivers seat and stepping in. "Probably."

He pressed the keys into the ignition and the car started without a sound. "Alright Aria. We're going somewhere very dangerous tonight. Wear this." He handed me a bulletproof vest from the back seat. "Yeah, if I get shot I get shot. I'm not cheating death." He sighed. Oh I just loved being difficult.

He pressed a button on the inside of the car and the elevator door closed, taking us down. The doors opened and I realized the Wayne Building was finally closed. I glanced at the dashboard and it read 1:24. Damn. I twirled the bat in my hands as he drove from the elevator, and the doors opened automatically. He silently slipped onto the road which was mostly empty. We went really fast, zooming in and out of people, apparently heading to the club Joker and I had been at earlier the day before. I glanced down the allies and saw a maroon sports car. The one I destroyed. I gasped.

     Batman stopped dead in his tracks. "The hell did you see, Adair?" He backed up to the alley my window was closest to. "Get out of the car." He said, eyeing the maroon car too. I got out, swinging the bat over my shoulder and shrugging. I started walking toward his car, and I saw a glimpse of green hair. I smiled and laughed maniacally. Then I realized Bruce was gone. Then i heard his car. It was loud. I guess from inside you couldn't hear it. I heard it go around the huge brick building around us, an apparent sneak attack. He wanted me to fight Joker. He thought wrong. I ran to the car, and he unlocked the passengers side. I hopped in, and he grabbed me from my seat with incredible force, diving me in the back seat and I let out a little cry because my stitched side hit the seat buckle.

     There was a goon in the back with me and he got out and so did Joker, they switched places. He stared at me with the most intense look, and I got lost in his blue eyes. He kissed me with full force, no holding back. He grabbed my waist and held on. When he let go, i just lingered there, and we just stared into each other's eyes. "Aria." I just laughed. "Well glad to see ya learned my name while I was away, Mr J." He pulled me to him, so my head rested on his chest. "Drive." He ordered with a snap of his fingers,  and the goon started driving.
