I was singing along with my eyes closed, the world in perfect harmony. Well, no one's perfect. I was interrupted by what sounded like Harleen screaming and laughing. She suddenly burst through my door holding a machine I thought I had just seen hanging from the Arkham guard's arm when he strangled me. She had a mad look in her eyes and was breathing heavy. "HEY ARIA!" She yelled, unlocking my cage somehow. I sighed and slid down the rope, swinging my hair behind me. "Thanks Harleen." She looked deranged and I noticed she had my same color jumpsuit. "They kept you here?" I said, as she skipped from the room. "Yep! I stole this from that dark dude." She said, giggling. Yep, he was dead. "Actually, stole is a funny word. I was suddenly taken over by this perception that rules don't have to apply to people like us. Life is more fun when they think they can just chain you up and you'll self fix. Lies." I followed her, in a slow run now down another hallway, this time to the solitary confinement zone of the building.
Flashback:
Our entire class walked through Arkham, looking into each cell window. Many kids dropped out of fear, the occasional nut head would scream and freak out a fourth grader. I just was in fascination of their philosophies. We went down another hallway. "This is where the bad people go to be alone." Mrs Claire said to us. "They go here to think and fix their problems. You don't want to be here." Why they chose Arkham as a "fun school trip" I don't know. "What could you possibly do to be here?" Some dumbass asked. "Very bad things." A man in all blue answered from his cell, maniacally laughing. He must have used more elaboration, but soon he was wheeled off farther down the hallway and we were told to turn back. We heard a loud buzzing and a shriek from the man."Hurry up!" Harleen yelled, even though I was only about three feet behind her. We raced down the corridor and I heard gun fire. Ivy came racing behind us, holding two machine guns, full. "Glad you could make it!" I yelled, and she tossed me one. We had about 12 guards on our ass, and Ivy shot at them, and I snuck in the occasional shot. Harleen slammed her fists on the glass, and I saw the woman inside stop what she was doing, and she dropped what I recognized as electroshock wands. And not the therapy kind. The killing kind. Ivy shot through the glass, and I busted through the shattered glass. Thought they would have enough Wayne funding to put in bulletproof glass in a nut house. Eh. The woman was not dead, and I rushed to Joker, unchaining him from his chair. He was laughing insanely. Ivy had our backs, shooting down the guards. One man called for backup but Ivy shot the Walkie Talkie right outta his hand. This would be a great headline. "Gotham's greatest criminals now at large." Just then, Batman and Selina came from no where, busting through the door. Ivy tried shooting, but they were both bulletproof now. I loosened Joker's last chain and handed him the gun. Batman punched Ivy off her feet, and she tried shooting literal ivy somehow and he fell to the floor. Selina punched her, and clawed her arm deeply. Ivy screamed in pain as she clutched her arm, going from a light emerald to a deep crimson, dripping to the floor. "You low life bitch." She said, and Batman knocked her unconscious with one final blow. "Ivy!" I yelled, and J pulled me behind me, shielding me. "Hey Wayne." I said, noticing Joker handed me something. "Think fast." I threw the smoke bomb in his face, and it blew up. He fell to the floor and passed out. I covered my face, and slung Ivy over my shoulder. Joker continued shooting at Selina, and a bullet hit her weak spot, right on her forearm. She and Bruce were on the floor, so he took my hand and I ran with him out. Plants are surprisingly light.
