Dawn blew the hair out of her face as she lay upside down on her bed thinking about todays earlier events. Just thinking about him made her head swim, what did it all mean? Luna sat cross legged on Dawns bed biting her lip nervously as she thought about today. That boy had her weak in the knees just by smelling him let alone talking to him. She needed to get a grip, she wouldnt allow a boy to let her loose focus on her training. Just going out had been dangerous, but letting him get close to her was worse. Her and Dawn both knew those boys were wolf and they surely werent from their pack, it couldve turned out worse if Dawn hadnt snapped out of her trance earlier.
"Dawn you dont think they were from-"
"Stop! I dont want to think about the possibilities Luna. We shouldnt have let them get that close, they couldve done anything to us, we need to be more careful."
"I know we," It hurt Luna to say it, but she knew it was true. "We just need to forget it happened, go on with our lives. Be more careful."
"Right," said Dawn uneasily. She sat up from her position and walked up to her window to look out towards the back yard. Fenced in so that she could "stay safe" even though her parents and her both knew other wolves could easily jump that fence. She flicked the latch on the window and pulled it open to let in some fresh air. It blew her hair back and she rested her her arms on the both sides of the window wishing she could go out for a run and clear her head, but she knew that wouldnt happen.
Jet pushed himself forward not even breaking a sweat. He followed her scent through the dense woods and let out a frustrated growl when he lost her scent. Damn, how was he gonna find her now? 'Have you found anything?' Jet asked. Blake frustratedly shook his head no, making his dirty brown fur shake with him. Jet let out a frustrated huff of breath angry that he couldnt find her. Just when he was about to give up he caught scent of pure heaven. He had found her. Jet motioned for Blake with black fur covered head and pointed in the direction of the scent. Blake had caught whiff of it too. They both started to trot in that direction, picking up speed as the scent got stronger.
Luna pulled at the sleeves of her t-shirt as she pulled it over her head. Her and Dawn were getting dressed for bed when they felt the all too familiar pull in their chests. "They're close." Luna said sniffing the air wildly. Dawn frantically slammed the window shut and struggled to put her pj pants on, hopping wildly from one side of the room to the other. Luna could feel the pull getting stronger and could just barely hear the sound of heavy foot fall in the distance. "The fence!" Luna yelled practically busting the door down as she ran out the room. A half dressed Dawn tried to grab her before she could go, but failed and had to grab a shirt before she went after her ecstatic friend.
Luna pushed the screen door aside like it was nothing and hurriedly tried to lock the fence door. "Luna no! They can just-" Two huge wolves jumped over the large fence and into Dawns backyard both staring wide eyed and curious at the two girls in front of them. Steam rising from their nostrils. Dawn and Luna both knew it was them. The two wolves looked at each other and stalked closer to the girls. Luna let out a whimper as she slowly positioned herself behind Dawn. "You honestly think I can save you if they got vicious?" Dawn whisper shouted towards Luna, wondering why in the hell she would use her own best friend as a human shield. "Hey, it helps." She whispered back. Suddenly the large black wolf growled at Dawn and she directed her attention towards him.
"I know its you, so you can quit the whole 'intimidation' act." Dawn snarled at the black wolf. It backed away slightly and bowed its head at her. "No," She huffed grabbing her arms and running her hands up and down them swiftly to warm herself. She really wished she had brought a jacket. "Just, um, go home!" Luna shouted from behind Dawn, pointing her arm at the two. The brown wolf whimpered and bowed its head like the black one. Luna cursed under her breath and ran a hand through her hair.
Luna really knew she wasnt supposed to do what she was about to do, but she was waging a war inside herself, and it seemed like her wolf was certainly winning. "Dawn," She strained as she slowly walked his way. "Luna?" Luna couldnt concentrate, she just needed to do this. Dawn reached out to grab her, but Luna swiftly knocked her to her feet in seconds causing the black wolf to spring from his position, snarl at her, and rush to her friends aid. Luna shook her head and continued to walk up to him. She got on her knees and put her hand around the muzzle of the huge dog, loving the feeling of his warm breath on her freezing hands. "I'm Luna." She said hesitantly. He pushed his head against her palm and Luna instantly started to run her hands through his fur, accepting the reassuring licks on her face graciously. If this is what love felt like she didnt want it to stop, but of course the human in her kicked in and the amazing feeling she had before was quickly replaced with panic and confusion.
She backed away from him quickly and whispered panicked sorrys as she ran her hands across her pants frantically. Blake sat up and started to walk towards her when she yelled at him to stop. "Please just dont... come any closer." She paused and got up from her place in the grass nearing the screen door. Blake started to follow her, but stopped himself. He wouldnt push her, he didnt want to make her anymore scared of him than she was now. 'I'm sorry,' She mouthed as she sank into the house, leaving him alone.
Jet licked her face and nudged her frantically, trying to get a response out of her. "Stop, stop it!" She giggled as she sat up, rubbing her arm where her friend had hit her. Jet instantly growled when he saw the bruise form on her arm. No one should harm what is his, he should go and rip the girl to shreds right now, but the thought of the beautiful girl in front of him and Blake becoming deeply depressed because of him stopped the image from forming. "I'm Dawn by the way," The girl said as she ran her fingers across the fur around his neck. Jet cocked his head to the side. "Yeah, I heard you thinking about me and him." She said while pointing towards a pitiful looking Blake on the lawn. Jet let out a puff of breath and regretfully got up from where he was resting. The girl-Dawn, sat up with him and walked herself towards the screen door of the house not looking back as she stepped into the house. Jet gave her a final glance before trotting over to Blake. "Its time to go." Jet said. Blake nodded and gave a final glance towards the house before backing up a good yard and launching himself over the fence. 'This isnt the last I'll see of you Dawn' Jet thought, and with that he launched himself over the fence and ran into the night. Enjoying the feeling of the cold wind whip across him. Dawn would be his.

I know this was short and it took me forever to upload and I'm seriously sorry about that guys!! I've been on vacation literally since the 17th of December and I just got back today. I had no computer and I despise writing on my phone so I had no choice but to wait many weeks till I uploaded. Again not an excuse but hopefully you all can forgive me.
