The warm oven still radiated heat as I waltzed through the kitchen, glancing every now and then at the cake my Mom had baked earlier this morning. The frosting cascaded down the sides like frozen waterfalls, and strawberries stuck up like mountains shadowing a valley. I licked my lips, ninety percent sure that I was drooling by now. It would be so simple just to take a bit of the frosting. No one would notice. Just a little bit, no one would have to know... I found myself reaching towards it, but I stopped myself. No. I couldn't. Besides, I could have some later...
