Chapter 1

**perries p.o.v.**

Just when i sat down the doorbell rang. I looked at the time

' 10:32 pm '

Who would want to come over at this time ?

I got up and went to the door. I checked the peep hole but no one was out there.

I went to turn around but the doorbell rang again.

I opened the door this time, and saw a little girl standing in the doorway looking at her feet.

" hello sweetie. " i say looking at her. When she heard my voice she looked up. Her bright blue eyes lit up.

" my mummy told me to stay here. " her little voice says. I furrow my eyebrows.

" what do you mean ?" I asked.

" she told me that she didnt want me and to stay right here until someone got me." She said and my mouth dropped.

" come in here sweetie. Are you tired ?" I asked and she nodded, walking in the door.

" lets go find you a nice bed to sleep on okay ?" I asked and she nodded. I grabbed her little hand in mine and brought her to mine and Zayn's room.

" here, lets put this on you for the night okay ? " i said holding up an over sized shirt. It'd be a floor dress on her.

" hey babe, who was at the door ?" Zayn asked walking out of the bathroom.

The little girl screamed and ran out of the room. The first thing i did was dropped the shirt and ran after her.

" where are you ?" I called out and heard little whimpers from the bathroom.

I knocked on the door and it opened. The little girl, who i still haven't learned the name of, had tears streaming down her face.

" what's wrong ?" I asked kneeling down so im her hight.

" he-he's gon-gonna hurt me." She sobbed.

" no he's not. He's a nice guy. He won't hurt you. I promise there is nothing for you to be afraid of." I say running my hand over her head.

She ran and hugged me. I hugged her back and smiled.

" so, i never caught your name. Im Perrie and the guy is my fiancée Zayn. " i said smiling.

" im Sophie." She said in a little voice.

" well Sophie, you are welcome to stay the night then we need to see if your mum is around still okay ?" I said she she shook her little head.

" and why not ?" I asked tilting my head to the side.

" she gave me a note ! But i cant read it. She told me to have to person who saw me read it." Sophie said pulling an envelop out of her pocket.

How did i not notice that ?

She handed it to me. I opened it and started reading it.

' Sophie,

Im sorry, but i am not in any shape to take care of you. I am sending you away so you can have real parents and someone who can treat you well. My life isn't the best and your daddy doesn't want me on earth anymore. He will be getting his wish once i find out your safe with someone. Just remember, mummy loves you. See you soon baby girl.

I finished reading and my jaw was dropped and tears brimmed my eyes.

" lets make a deal, im gonna adopt you and we can put a sign on the door and tell her you are safe with us. Okay ?" I say and she nods.

" now, back to where we were before. Lets go get changed and we can go to bed !" I say standing up.

She smiles and holds her arms out. I pick her up and bring her into our room.

Zayn was laying down on the bed on his phone. I rolled my eyes and sat Sophie on the bed. I picked up the shirt from the floor and laid it next to her.

I started to take off her shirt but she stopped me. " no, he will see me. " she said pulling her shirt back down.

" Zayn, babe can you turn around? She isn't comfortable with you facing her while shes changing." I say and he nods. He turns over so he's facing the wall.

" better ?" I ask and she nods.

I finish taking her out of her clothes and i put on the big shirt. It goes down to her mid shin. I smile and lay her down in bed next to Zayn.

" good night Sophie." I say and kiss her forehead.

" good night Perrie " i hear her say and she closes her eyes.

I walk to the kitchen and grab a piece of paper. I wrote that Sophie is safe with us and that we will take her in. I grabbed tape and taped the paper to the door so her mum can see it.

I went back to the room and laid in bed. I pulled Sophie into my side and closed my eyes. Soon the land of dreams took me over.
