Chapter 11

••Sophie's p.o.v.••

" hi ! I'm Rebecca ! " a girl came up to me. I looked at her.

" I'm Sophie." I say quietly.

" do you want to play tag with me ?" She asked and I smiled. I nodded and she tagged my arm.

" your it !" She yelled and ran away. I ran after her and heard some flashes go off. I thought it was just mummy so I kept chasing Rebecca until I caught up to her.

I tagged her back and she turned around. " your it !" I say and run to the play ground. She follows me and I run up the stairs and down the slides.

" Sophie ! We gotta go ! Your uncles and aunties are coming over tonight for dinner ! " mummy calls. Me and Rebecca stop playing with the sand and look at each other.

" mummy ! I don't wanna go !" I say staying in the same spot.

" Sophie ! Come on. We are getting ice cream before we go home too ! " daddy said and him and mummy walked over to me.

" no." I said and crossed my hands over my chest.

" soph, who's this ?" Mum asked when she was next to me.

" this is Rebecca ! She's my new friend mummy !" I say with a smile.

" awe ! Well, Rebecca I'm Sophie's mum Perrie ! Where's you mum ?" Mum said talking to Rebecca.

" I'll go get her !" She says and takes off running to her mum. Mum looks at me and smiles. I smile back and play with the sand in my hands.

" hi ! I'm Rebecca's mum Lucy ! " a girl that looked like Rebecca said walking up to us.

" hi ! I'm Sophie's mum Perrie ! I see our daughter are friends now. " mum says and the lady nods. " we have to go, but the girls doesn't want to stop playing. Do you think that I could have your number so the girls could play another time ?"

I look at Rebecca and she's smiling. I smile back at her and we look at our mums.

" of course. Here you go !" She says and gives mum her number.

" thank you Lucy ! We will see you soon then ! Sophie say goodbye !" I nod and walk over to Rebecca.

" bye !" I say and she says it back. We hug and run to our own mums.

" I'm glad you made a new friend !" Mummy says when we walk back and catch up to daddy.

" yeah ! Now I have another person to play tea party with since daddy fell sleep !" I pouted. Mums eyes widened but quickly went back to normal.

" come on! Let's go get some ice cream !" Mummy says and puts me in the car. She straps me in and hops in the car.

" Sophie ! Smile !" Mummy says and I do something goofy again. She laughs and adds, " why can't you take normal pictures !"

" I don't think she ever will !" Daddy laughs and we all end up laughing.

" Sophie ! I brought you something !" I heard uncle Nialls voice yell through the house. My head snapped up from my dolls and I ran to him.

He smiled and opened his arms. I ran into them and he wrapped his large arms around me, giving me a hug. He let go and stood back a bit. He held something behind his back and showed me it.

A stuffed bear with his face on it.

" you like it ?" He asks and I nod still looking at it. " now, when you get upset and you need a hug, you can hug it, so it seems like your hugging me." I smile and hug him.

" thank you uncle Ni." I say into his stomach. He chuckles at me. " your welcome princess." He says back.

I let go and run to show mum. I found her in her room crying. I dropped the bear and ran to her. " mummy ? Why are you crying ?" I asked.

" mummy is upset because grandma is very sick. " she says, playing with my hair.

" why ?" I ask and she looks at me. I wipe away her tears on her cheeks, just like she used to do to me.

" she's getting older honey. When people get older, they aren't as healthy as they used to be. So, what we are gonna go, is go see grandma soon. Sound good ?" She says and I nod.

I can't wait to see grandma ! " will she make cookies ?" I ask, thinking of Dora.

" how bout we make cookies and bring them with us ?" She says and I nod again. " what's that by the door ?" She asked looking at my uncle Niall bear.

I ran to it, picked it up and brought it over to show her. " uncle Ni got it for me ! But when I saw you crying I dropped it." I explain and she chuckles.

" did you tell him thank you ?" She asks and I nod. " good girl. How 'bout we go out there by the others ? Okay ?" She asks and I nod. She grabs my hand and we walk out by everyone else.

" Sophie ! Perrie ! " uncle Haz says and everyone looks at us.

" hey guys ! I missed you all !" Mummy says and I look at everyone. It feels like there is more people than I usually see. There was one girl I didn't know who was here also. I tugged on mums dress and she looked down.

" who's that by uncle Haz ?" I asked quietly.

" that's uncle Hazz's girlfriend her name is Devon." She says and I nod. Mum goes and sits down by dad and I go and climb on dads lap.

" hi Sophie ! I'm Devon ! " the girl said smiling at me. She kinda scared me because she came right up to me and she has stuff on her face... I crawl more into dad's lap and tried to stay away from her.

" hi." I say and she smiles.

" your just so cute !" Her voice was high and it made me shudder.

" daddy can we go get a juice box ?" I asked turning around to look at him, also trying to get away from her. It seemed like she was trying to get closer and closer to me. He nodded and carried me to the kitchen.

" daddy. I don't like her. She scares me." I say in his ear. He bites back his laughter while he grabs my juice box.

He puts the hole in it and I grab it, but it ends up flying behind me and I hear a scream.

I looked and saw my juice flew on Devon.
