Chapter 19

••Sophie's p.o.v.••

Maybe they actually care about me. Here they are, crying because they thought I died about like maybe 10 minutes ago. They actually love me. They care about me.

" I love you." I say and see them smile.

" we love you too baby." They both say and give me a kiss on my cheek and my forehead. I bet they would hug me, but I don't think they want to, because they think I will break.

" can I go home ?" I asked quietly and dad shook his head. I frown and they chuckle. " when ?"

" in two days. They want to see if you can breathe without this thing." He says tapping on the mask." Strapped to your face. " I nod.

" soph. Don't worry. We won't leave here unless we have to." Mum says and them two grab both of my hands. Oh god, what if I have an itch? I nod and smile at them.

I take deep breathes and just lay there with a smile on my face.

" can they come ?" I asked and they looked at me in confusion. I sighed and tried again. " everyone." Talking with this thing over my mouth doesn't work out as much..

Realization hits them and they nod. " I'll call Paul or Liam to tell everyone they can come." Dad says and stands up. He grabs his phone an walks out of the room.

" who's calling me ?" Mum asked and pulled out her phone. She rose her eyebrows and answered it.

" hey Lucy !" She says and a smile forms on my lips. I miss then so much.

" uh, the hotel caught on fire an we were on the like 6th floor up. Zayn and her were sleeping and I woke them up. He told me he got Sophie and told me to go down there. I did as he said and went down. He didn't come down for a minute and when he did, he was yelling for an ambulance and Sophie was coughing and couldn't breathe. He went in with her. Paul wouldn't let us go but then finally did when Louis yelled at him. He made me think that she died. " mum explained.

" I thought that too ! At least she's okay. She has to wear an oxygen mask until tomorrow to see if she can breathe without it. I think we might stay down here a bit longer. " I was mentally dancing.

I'm on a line between wanting to go home and staying here. I'm sorta leaning on staying. I mean, it's not everyday where I can see him for this long when he's on tour.

" hey, they are coming. And bringing food and drinks." Dad says walking into the room. I smile and nod.

" who's she talking to?" Dad asked as he sat down.

" Lucy." I say and he nods.

" Sophie !" The girls yell and run over to the bed. They beat the boys to the room ? How ?

I smile at them and they hug me. I hug back. I mean, I can't just not. And it's not like it hurts too..

" how are you ? "

" yeah Paul made us believe you died !"

" I'm okay." I say and they smile.

" we made the boys park the cars and we ran in here." Auntie Dani says and I laugh.

" and speak of the devil." Auntie Eleanor says. You could hear them running down the hall. Dang, they are loud. Almost like elephants.

" SOPHIE !" They all yell and rush over to me. I started to breathe heavy because there was so many people all crowding me. Dad noticed and started rubbing the back of my hand- trying to calm me down.

" how are you ?"

" I thought you died !"

" why are you wearing a mask ?"

" we brought food !"

You could tell who was who in each sentence. It went uncle Liam, uncle Louis, uncle Harry and uncle Niall.

" hi." I say quietly and they look at me confused. I looked at dad and he nodded.

" she's fine. She doesn't talk with the mask on. It's a oxygen mask Harry. Tomorrow she gets to take it off and see if she can breathe normally without it. If she can, she leaves later that day. " dad explained and they all nodded.

" awe how about we make this plan hospital fun ?" Uncle Louis asked and uncle Liam's eyes widened.

" that is not a good idea what so ever !" Uncle Liam says and uncle Louis pouts. I giggle and they smile.

" you want to color Soph ?" Mum asked and I nodded. She raised up the bed so I was sort of sitting up and put a desk thing in front of me. She put my coloring book on it and handed me my markers. I smiled and took them.

" this ones for uncle Niall." I say coloring the first picture. They all smile at me and have conversations, but still watch me color.

I woke up and saw everyone asleep. Dad and uncle Louis' heads were on the bed and the girls were on the chairs. The other boys were on the floor. Ha ! Sucks for then.

I noticed I still had the horrible mask on my face. It was big and it felt awkward to wear. I wanted so badly to just rip it off my face and throw it across the room, but if I did, they would get mad at me and make me wear it longer. *mad face*

" morning soph." I heard dad say and I looked at him. He was rubbing is eyes and stretched out his body.

" morning." I say back and he smiles. I mess with the mask on my face, meaning I'm asking to take it off. He noticed and he stood up. He walked out of the room without even telling me where he was going.

I just laid there, watching everyone sleep. I know it sounds creepy, but what else am I saposta do ? Dad left and everyone is asleep.

" you can take the mask off, as long as you can breathe without it." He says and I nod. He helps me take it off my face and he places it on the table next to the bed. I smile and suck in a breathe, finally breathing without any help.

" can you breathe right ? Is everything fine ? Do you need the mask ?" Dad kept asking me questions. I just laughed at him.

" I'm fine dad. I don't need it. Everything seems right how I'm breathing. Don't worry." I say and he stops and smiles at me.

" can we go home today ? I don't like this bed. It's uncomfortable." I say and he chuckles.

" yeah. We can leave today. Just not till after lunch. They just want to be sure everything is okay before they send you back." He says and I nod.

" wasn't I saposta go home today ?" I asked as I played with his large hand.

" yeah, but you are staying longer right ?" He asked looking at my small and wrap around 2 of his fingers.

" yeah, I think that's what mum said when she was talking to Lucy. " I say and he nods. He grabs my hand and kisses the top of it. He plays with my small fingers, while we have a conversation.

" Sophie ! You don't have the mask on !" Mum says rubbing her make up free eyes. I smile at her and then the door flies open.

" SOPHIE !" I heard familiar voices yell from the doorway and we all turned our heads toward the voices.

A smile crept to me, dad and moms faces. They ran over to me and hugged me.

" we haven't seen you in forever ! We thought by the picture on twitter and Instagram, that you died ! You nearly killed us Zayn ! Perrie never told us either ! Keeping secretes ey ?" She said and we laughed.

" I missed you too jade, Leigh-Anne and Jesy" I say and they all hug me. I missed not seeing them. I was closest to Jade so she say closer to me. Oh how I missed everyone.
