You came!
How wonderful.
We drove to a burger place because the boys were in a hurry to get to me in time so they skipped lunch. How very thoughtful. Truth is Dean didn't take it too well. Perhaps that amplified his temper as well because shortly after we arrived he and I had our first fight of many, sort of. Dean wanted me to share the rest of details I was talking about previously. However, I was really not in the mood to publicly disclose all my deep, dark secrets in a place filled with strangers. What if someone hears us? I'm not worried about people thinking we are lunatics, I'm pretty much used to it at this point. My issue was that maybe there were already a few demons occupying some poor US citizens as a meatsuits. Not exactly the safest way of sharing intel and by god this was the same reason why I kept my mouth shut on the phone.
I was frustrated. The man and I just met and he already pushed me to my limit. Had to take a stroll to the bathroom to calm myself down. It was almost dead silent there, perfect place to let the steam out. I only ran into a woman who asked me to hurry up so I did and went back shortly after I left.

When I got back Dean tried to be a lot nicer to me. Weird but considerate. It might have been Sam who had something to do with the sudden change of heart or perhaps Dean has been thinking about his behaviour. Highly unlikely but I wish to give him the benefit of the doubt. I sure did think about it and realised how much of a stuck-up princess I was. Eventually I gave in and told them most of the stuff leaving only the really gruesome parts out. I stopped in just the right moment.
As I was talking I saw the same woman I met earlier coming of the bathroom covered in bruises and cuts. She looked like a total mess as she left the building looking right at me as she walked out the door. I got paranoid again, only this time it was justified. Dean told us to pack up and we left in a hurry. This was the very moment when the brothers started to take me seriously. Until then they were sure that I'm only lucky with my demon encounters. Also they mentioned a journal what John kept since their mom died and according to them there was nothing written about my case in it. Those few months were completely missing.
We went to the Pinecrest Motel where we had another argument. This time not only with Dean but Sam was included too. You see the brothers wanted us to rent one room where we 3 could stay together and they can keep on eye on me to ensure my safety. I told them that it's bonkers and it won't be good. No offense but we've only just met and now they're expecting me to share personal space? Hell, that's a tad too much on the first day. I'm a grown up woman who managed to stay free of being slayed by the creatures of the underworld, one more night can't be that hard to pull off.
I remained stoic and rented my own room yet they still kept pushing that bollocks of an idea down my throat. Dean thought it was about him being impossible why I won't obey his commands. Nobody can be that self-absorbed... Anyhow, he took my key and forced me into the room with the 2 separate beds which was supposed to be his and Sam's. He proposed the plan of a nightshift. One of them stays in my room while the other keeps watch and they switch after a few hours thinking that this would make me less uncomfortable. To sweeten the pot Dean suggested that Sam shall have the first go and he'll come in later. This was maybe if the first thing I saw in the morning will be him we'll forget how we started off on the wrong foot. Typical cocky attitude Dean on display, ladies and gents. I tried to negotiate further but there was no point in arguing anymore. They can have what they want this time.
Spending time with strangers has already been hard for me let alone sleeping in the same area as them. To top the awkwardness Sam wasn't only there to sleep next to me but to watch me – hopefully not in a creepy way - and make sure everything is fine. I was expecting a lot of observing which is the worst that could happen. I mean I've already mentioned that he and his brother are both uncannily attractive... I was a muddled by them. By the Lord's mercy, I wasn't expecting this. Don't get me wrong I'm not having problems spending time with grown men so obviously appealing but wow. I'll even go there and say that I was stuck by his fine figure and charming dimples when I first laid eyes upon Sam. I had to take a moment to collect my thoughts before I could engage in conversation. Same thing happened later just with Dean that time. And now they are gonna take care of me. Golly, that's gonna be one hell of a night to go through.
