The lightning flashed and Casper growled and curled as he heard his bones popping and his skin stretching. Thunder rolled as a snarl was released, fangs growing and a muzzle coming to shape as he curled up on the couch. As more sounds of ripping flesh and and breaking bones filled the room. Another flash of lightning came and there was whimpering and the sound of digging. The door to the apartment opened and a figure quickly came in.

"Storm and full moon, shit! I hope I'm not..." Samuel turned on his heels, flicking the light switch up and down, the lights not turning on. "Oh come on..." A flashlight was pulled out and turned on, scanning the room slowly. "Cas.... Casper... Where are you?"

The light slowly moved to the couch, catching on black talons. Those talons were connected to four, scale covered fingers, much like a dragon, that continued up to a wrist then an elbow, or perhaps knee, joint, where heavy, fluffy dark fur covered the body and dog like face attached to them, sharp grey eyes focusing on him. Large fangs came from the upper jaw over the lower, the upper lips curling back with a growl. From behind the creature a tail covered in black scales came into view, it waving and wiggling into view.

"Hey hey, it's just me," Samuel said as he slowly moved forward, a hand up towards the beast. "Don't worry, it's just your Sammy," a soft voice came from the firefighter as he kept moving closer, flashlight aimed more towards the creature's chest. Before long he felt the hot breath of the creature smelling him. This was calming in an odd way, the hot breath on his skin before he felt a lick. He chuckled and moved close, hugging the large creature around it's neck. "It's okay big guy, I got you. Nothing's gonna get you."

The scale covered tail moved and wrapped around Samuel, a black tongue coming out and licking up his face. Samuel laughed and cuddled close to the warm fur, kicking off his boots as lighting flashed. The beast's head lifted suddenly, claws lifting to run or even attack. Samuel pulled the creature's head down to his chest, softly petting the muzzle and looking into the large eyes. One of the dark ears pressed against the human's chest, listening to the heart beat and slowly calming down, despite the roll of thunder.

"See big guy? It's all okay... Nothing's gonna harm you. Everything's okay," he said as the beast curled on the floor. A sigh left his lips before pulling off his shirt and laying on the creature. It would be a good night.
