Sean POV:

First thing the next morning Owen and I set out to find Pookie. It's crazy to me that she has been here all this time, and absolutely fricken hilarious that she chose to use North and Luke's last name as her new alias. She definitely outsmarted us with that one.

I couldn't believe it when Luke came running to our team at the Zoo screaming he'd found Sang. My heart began pounding for the first time since that day four years ago. I loved her. I've always loved her, that never stopped, but the day she ran away my heart felt like it had been ripped right out of my chest. And now...we'd found her.

Without a word we all shot off like rockets towards where Gabriel and North were standing frozen. Only once we passed them did they take off after us and I could have sworn the Lions had escaped their exhibit the way North was sprinting. I honestly don't think I've ever seen him move that fast.

As soon as I saw North and Silas stopped at the entrance of the Zoo I knew she had gotten away...again. My heart twisted painfully in my chest but Owen pulled it together long enough to get us all back to the hotel where the truth was revealed about what happened all those years ago and the new revelation as well.

I remembered North asking me if she had to keep it that night, but I didn't answer. Now I'm glad I didn't. I can only imagine how betrayed she felt at the time, and some of the accusations the boys made back then...

Driving into a mobile home park I'm brought out of my memories when we park across the street from where the ID says she lives and I'm hoping this is really it. Although, I'd much rather her be living safer. From what I can tell from the outside of the little home it's well kept. There's a small grassy area with a potted plant near the bottom of the stairs leading to the front door.

The car that we saw her drive off in yesterday afternoon is parked in the small parking space next to it. There's a small thanksgiving wreath hung on the front door and the paint is a clean white color, not faded or yellowing like a lot of the neighboring homes.

I get out of the car and wait for Owen to lock it, making sure my shirt and pants aren't all wrinkled, we silently make our way past the plant and up the stairs until we reach the front door and Owen turns to me arching a brow in silent question- You Ready?- I give him a jerky nod and  he knocks. I run a hand through my hair as my nerves start to get to me.

What if she shuts us out? What if she doesn't want to see me? What if it's too late to fix any of this? What if-

My thoughts are interrupted as the door begins to open and the carefree smile on her face from whatever she had been doing drops at the site of us. The brightness in her eyes seem to dull as she looks between the two of us before looking back inside and telling whoever she's looking at- most likely her and North's son- to go play in his room, before stepping outside and shutting the door behind her and looking at her feet.

No, pookie. Please, just look at me.

"Mr. Blackbourne, Dr. Green, what can I do for you today?" She whispers never once lifting her gaze.

"Miss Sorenson, we wanted to return your ID to you. It seems you lost it at the Zoo yesterday after your encounter with a couple of the boys." Owen states calmly as he pulls out her  ID and holds it out for her.
