Luke's POV:
Ashleigh will be done with her college stuff in about two more months. She's liking it so far, and she's learned lots of new things about horses and stuff. She's so excited. She's gonna get a job at the local pet clinic down town. I know she'll do good there.

Today we're cleaning the house a little bit and we're moving on to our room. Ashleigh was sitting on the floor in the closet, sifting through some old guitar picks. I leaned back against the bed and watched the fascination grow in her eyes when she picked up an old shoe box behind a pile of shirts. She opened it and blew the dust off of the contents in it. She started unpacking what looked like a bunch of pictures.

"Luke, come look." She said and studied an old blue picture frame. I strutted across the room and joined her on the floor. She handed me the picture and I smiled at it. I was her at her high school graduation. She was standing next to her dad and he had tears in his eyes. I flipped over the picture and tried my best to make out the words carved on the back, "doctors and lawyers and such..." it looked like her dad had done that. I smiled and carried it to the dresser. I sat it down next to her jewelry box and admired it.

We looked through the rest of the pictures, there were a few of her at prom, homecoming, bonfires, and of course, tons of rodeo photos. I'm so grateful that I get a look at what her childhood was like, from all of the photographs, it seemed like it was filled with a love and passion for horses, and a happy, smart, beautiful country girl.

We messed around for the rest of the day, but never really got anything cleaned. We were laying on the couch and I felt my phone start to buzz in my back picked. I loudly sighed and answered it.

"Hello."

"Hi, Luke, guess what." Carter said excitedly.

"What carter?" I said back with a hint of annoyance I'm my voice.

"We have a show tonight, at that bar downtown."

"Really, but it's already seven?" I probably sounded confused, that's because I was.

"Yeah, it's at eight genius."

"But why such late notice?" I asked.

"Because I forgot to tell you five hours ago." I chuckled and we both hung up. I told Ashleigh the news and we started getting ready. We took a quick ten minute shower and got out. Of course, I was completely ready within fifteen minutes.

I put on a pair of faded blue jeans, a nice long sleeve shirt, and my boots. Ashleigh finished blow drying her hair and started getting dressed. She put on a concert t-shirt, jeans, and boots. She put on a little bit of makeup, even though I told her she didn't need it. She don't listen. We piled in the truck and drove down to the bar.

We walked in just as the clock hit eight and I tried to spot Carter. I finally saw him and we hurried up on the stage. I watched Ashleigh find a seat at the bar and order a beer. Carter snapped at me and we started. I sang several songs, but Ashleigh was in my view the whole time.

I watched as she drank and then started talking to the bar tender. He seemed to get a little flirty with her. That pissed me off, just a little bit. Ashleigh motioned her for head towards me. I hope she was telling him that I was her boyfriend. That's what it seemed it because he suddenly had a disappointed look on his face. He walked away and she turned and faced me.

She smiled wide at me and I returned. Carter and I finished out set and I rushed off stage and to my baby. I slowly planted a kiss on her lips. She smiled and I pulled away from her. Ashleigh explained to me that she'd rather go home and do something there than stay at this little bar. I didn't really care what we did as long as I'm with her.

We drove down the highway and I pulled over at the nearest gas station. "I'll be right back baby." I said and hopped out. I ran inside and grabbed a six pack of miller light. I payed and brought it back to the truck and continued to drive. Once we got home, she jumped on my back and I carried her and the beer inside the house. I sat her on the couch and put the beer on the fridge for later.

"I have an idea." I said.

"What?"

"Let's build a big fort, then we can watch a movie on the laptop." I said with a smile on my face.

"Luke, your so childish, but I love you, so yes, let's build a fort." She said and wrapped her arms around me. I kissed her and we started bringing chairs, blankets, and pillows to the living room. We worked for about five minutes until we had finished our fort. We both went upstairs and changed into our pajamas, I put on a t-shirt and sweatpants, and Ashleigh put on one of my shirts and her underwear.

"Your just trying to drive me wild, aren't you?" I asked as she strutted out of the bedroom.

"Mhm." We crawled into the opening of the fort and I pulled up Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

"Really Luke, your only during this because you know I hate scary movies."

"No, I'm doing it so I can hold you when things get bad." I said with a smirk. She giggled and I remembered the beer. I crawled out and got the box out of the fridge and carried it back to the fort. I started the movie and within a few minuets, Ashleigh had already downed one. So this is how she's gonna get tonight.

Throughout the movie, Ashleigh had clung to me and was also getting drunk. I drank about two, as she drank around four. There was about ten min left in the movie, and she started to fall asleep. I cut it off and realized that she was pretty damn drunk, but wasn't really showing it. She cuddled up to my chest and slipped her hands under my shirt and rested them on my chest. I kissed her and let het her fall asleep. I love her so much. Her head is gonna hurt tomorrow though.
