8 yr olds Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura were all together running around in the play ground. Suddenly Sakura just stopped and frowned. Naruto and Sasuke immediately turned to look at her.
"What's wrong imouto?" Naruto asked
"Tomorrow we start the academy. I just wonder if we are going to be able to be as close as we are now. You two are my best friends." Sakura said not facing the boys
"We will always be together. No one will change it, right Sasuke-teme?" Naruto said looking at Sasuke for help.
"Hn, for once the dobe is right." Sasuke said never taking his eyes off Sakura
Hearing this made a smile appear on Sakura's face. "Thank you guys. You 2 are the best"
A slight blush appearing on Sasuke's cheeks cause by Sakura's hug.
Secretly the three friends were being watched by their mothers.
'Those three are growing up too fast' all three of the moms thought as they contined to watch their children play.
And the other side of the park a 10 yr old Itachi watched the three play. His eyes never leaving the pink haired girl.
****the next day****
Sakura wakes up earlier than usual excited because she is starting the academy but nervous because she is afraid how startingthe academy will affect her friendship with Naruto and Sasuke.
Laying in bed she didn't realize what time it was... until.
"Sakura hurry up or you're going to be late" Mebuki yelled. "Naruto and Sasuke will be here for you any minute"
"Coming kaa-san" Sakura yelled
Running to the kitchen Sakura noticed the raven haired boy sitting atthe table with her mom.
"Sasuke! You're here early... what gives?" Sakura asked
"Hn, dobe said he would meet us at the academy. So i decided to come and get you so we could walk together" Sasuke said not looking at her
"Oh...ok" Sakura was a bit shoked by this. Especially because she wasn't sure but she thought she she saw a slight tint of pink on Sasuke's cheeks.
'Nah, just my imagination' Sakura thought
After breakfast both Sakura and Sasuke said thank you to Mebuki and began to walk towards the Academy.
"Gosh im so nervous. What if the other kids don't like me. I mean of course I know you and Naruto as well as Hinata. But still I cant stop but feeling nervous." Sakura said as they passed all the shops about to arrive at the Academy
Hearing this Sasuke suddenly stopped and grabbed Sakura by the hand. "You are going to be fine. Don't worry so much. I'm here for you no matter what."
Sakura slightly blushed at Sasuke's words and the fact that he was holding her hand.
"Thank you Sasuke-kun"
Sasuke was shocked at the fact that she added kun at the end but didn't show it.
'Does... does she have feelings for me like I do for her' Sasuke thought
All he could say was "hn, lets go"
Finally at the Academy all the girls were trying to get Sasuke's attention. Sasuke just wanted to get to class and Sakura slightly giggled knowing Sasuke didn't like the attention he was getting from his fan girls.
"TEME!!!! IMOUTO!!!!"
They immediately knew that voice
Without looking back... *sigh* "Naruto" both said.
Running up to them dragging a flushed Hinata Hyuga
"Morning Naruto... Morning Hinata" Sakura said
Sasuke with his signature "Hn"
Sakura and Sasuke knew that Hinata had a crush on Naruto and wondered how he hadn't noticed this.
"Did yall hear" Naruto said out of breath since he was running after he found his friends at a distance from him.
"Hear what Naruto" Sakura wondered
"There are some new kids from Suna that are also going to be starting thw academy today with us" Naruto said finally breathing normal. "I over heard my dad talking to the instructors about it this morning."
"Hn, this should be interesting" Sasuke said
Already in their seats with class about to begin the suddenly opened. In walking the three students from Suna
"You three must be the students from Suna, correct?" Iruka-sensei asked
"That's right! Temari is the name"
"Kankuro"
"Gaara"
Sakura noticed that the one that said his name was Gaara was looking straight at her a blushed.
Small smirk appearing on Gaara's face seeing this reaction.
Sasuke on the other hand... keeping his usual blank face but deep inside he was furious that Sakura was blushing because of Gaara.
'This is definitely going to be interesting' Gaara thought.
