Love Blossoms

Team 7

It was finally the day they were all waiting for... GRADUATION!!!!

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura were all at Sasuke's house getting ready. Mikoto always wanted to have a daughter so that's why when Mebuki and Kizashi got a mission that would have them back in the village right before graduation. Mikoto bugged and bugged Sakura till she finnaly agreed to allow Mikoto's help getting ready for the big day.

"OMG SAKURA YOU LOOK LOVELY!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!" Mikoto exclaimed very excited

"T-thank you Mikoto kaa-chan" Sakura said with a slight blush.

The boys heard Mikoto's scream and automatically wondered how Sakura looked.

Itachi, Sasuke and Naruto patiently waiting outside Mikoto and Fugaku's bedroom wanting to see how Sakura looked.

After a while Itachi had left to sit under a tree. Sasuke and Naruto began to argue over who knows what. Too involved in their argument, they didn't noticethe door open.

"Uh-hmm" was all they heard when Sasuke and Naruto finally stopped arguing turned to see Sakura. She was wearing a red and pink trimmed kimono with her long hair in loose curls. All the boys cool do was stare in awe.

"Come on you guys be honest, what do you think?" Sakura asked.

"Ssssakura, you look beautiful" Naruto said

Blushing all Sakura could say was "thank you Naruto nii-san"

Sasuke on the other hand was completely silent. He noticed Sakura was looking at him. All he could do was look away quickly, hiding the blush that was slowly creeping on his cheeks.

Noticing this Mikoto smiled. 'Looks like my little Sasuke is beginning to have a crush' she thought.

Sakura on the other hand was slightly disappointed that Sasuke didn't say anything.

Throughout all this no one seemed to noticed where Itachi was. He was very focused on the pink haired girl who he thought looked stunning in her outfit. 'I... I cant be having these feelings, Sakura sees me like her older brother. But kami... she looks incredibly beautiful' was all Itachi could think.

Finally out of his thoughts Itachi composed himself and began to walk to where the others were. Sakura noticed that Itachi was walking towards them and found herself not being able to take her eyes off him. 'Wow... Itachi looks so handsome in his suit. I feel so lucky that he is my escort for graduation.' A new thing that was started at the Academy was that at the time of graduation. The students were allowed to ask a shinobi or kunoichi to be their escorts for a walk that was going to be done to introduce the newly graduated students. Sakura had asked Itachi and when he said yes she was so excited. Naruto and Sasuke not even thinking twice asked their mother's to be their escorts.

"You guys ready, we don't have a lot of time left before the ceremony starts." Itachi said looking at the three younger soon to be shinobi/kunoichi and his mom.

"Hai!" They all said

***At the ceremony***

Sakura was really nervous because not only did she have to walk next to an Uchiha... she was walking next to THE ITACHI UCHIHA!!!

"FOREHEAD!" was all that was heard and Sakura right away knew who it was.

"PIG" Sakura yelled back.

"He...hello sakura-chan" hinata said

"Hi Hinata" Sakura smiled.

"Geez can you two be any louder" tenten said.

"Well hello to you too tenten" Sakura smiled widely at her.

Although Tenten, Neji and Lee were a year older they were all very good friends.

"You three ready to get this over with" Tenten said.

"Hai" the three girls replied.

"Sooooo Sakura, ready to walk hand in hand next to Itachi U-chi-ha!" Ino teased

"Baka it's not like that. We have been around each other since we were kids." Sakura said

"Suuuuuure it is... I mean come on. He hasn't taken his eyes off you the whole time we've been here" Tenten said. Hinata and Ino nodded in agreement.

Sakura slowly turned to see where Itachi was and noticed that he was in fact staring at her intently.

Sakura turned back around with a small blush on her cheeks and was surprised that Itachi didnt even bother hiding the fact that he was staring at her. Unknowingly Sasuke witnessed the whole thing and was getting upset and feeling a bit jealous.

Mikoto noticed this and hugged Sasuke tightly. "Sasuke, if you want her you're going to have to fight for her soon instead of hiding your feelings like you have all this time"

Sasuke blushed at his mom's words and quietly said. "I'm worried that she wont like me. That she will actually like Itachi. I think she likes Itachi you saw that just now"

"Sweetie you dont know that for sure. You need to suck it up and tell her how you feel." Mikoto said "I just have a feeling that she feels the same"

Shocked Sasuke looked at his mom and asked.. "how...how do you know" Mikoto smiled softly and her son and said " A mother knows."

****ceremony started****

All the students walked with their escorts proudly next to them.

They walked as follows:

Sasuke with Mikoto

Naruto with Kushina

Sakura with Itachi

Ino with Inoichi

Hinata with Neji

The rest of the students walked with their parents.

Itachi noticed that Sakura was a bit upset. "What's wrong Sa-ku-ra chan" making Sakura laugh especially because Itachi never added chan or anything at the end of her name.

"Im just sad because it looks like mom and dad weren't able to make it and the others are walking with their parents and you're here with me." Realizing what she said Sakura immediately said "not... not that there's anything wrong with you but i just wish my parents were here"

Itachi slightly smiled because as soon as she said that he noticed her parents standing on the side. "Look over there" he said to her

Sakura turned to where Itachi nodded towards and she saw her parents. With a huge smile she said "they made it! They didn't miss it" "of course. I never thought they would miss it" Itachi said as he held Sakura proudly

****after the ceremony****

Back in the classrooms they new genin patiently waited as the teams were announced.

Iruka-sensei went through all the teams and before he got to team 7 Naruto said to Sakura and Sasuke "I hope we can continue to stick together and are on the same team"

Sasuke and Sakura nodded in agreement. They have been together since they were born. They were like the three musketeers.

Iruka-sensei finally got to team 7... "Naruto Uzumaki... Sasuke Uchiha... and Sakura Haruno"

Iruka-sensei continued with next teams. When he was finally finished. Naruto Sasuke and Sakura all jumped happy that they were all on the same team. Naruto hugged Sakura first beyond happy that they were still together. Then Naruto not paying attention, Sasuke hugged Sakura. They stayed hugging for what seemed like for ever for the 2 of them. When they finally let go both had a slight hint of pink on their cheeks. Both immediately tried to focus on something else hoping no one noticed what just happened. But what they didn't know is that Naruto noticed the whole thing as well as Itachi that was hiding outside of the Academy.
