*** the next day***
Sakura's POV
I was so tired when I woke up the next day. We had gone to sleep late. Looking around all the girls were still asleep. Until suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. We all jumped as I went to get the door. "TEMARI!" I exclaimed surprised. "Seriuosly all of you are still asleep and we have about 3 more days to prepare." She said. As soon Temari finished saying this Ino jumped up and screamed "OMG I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE MASQUERADE BALL THIS WEEKEND!!!" We quickly got ready and went out to find our outfits.
I walked home in deep thought after we finished shopping. Naruto had already asked Ino to be his date. As well as Kiba and Neji asking Hinata and Tenten. I was the only one that didnt have a date. I was really hoping that I would get asked by a certain someone but it never happened. Right as I was getting home Lee came up running. Panting he asked me to be his date for the ball. "Sure Lee. I would love to!" Something no one knew was that Lee and I were really close. Best friends you could say. He always had my back when I needed help and was helping me with my taijutsu.
Lee left excited because I said yes. We talked a little before he left laughing until I had tears coming out of my eyes. I can always count on him when I'm down to make me smile. I was surprised that I hadn't gotten a little gift from Sasuke. I was getting used to seeing them when I got home. Guess ill just go to bed and get ready for what's to come.
*** 3rd POV ***
2 pairs of eyes watched as Sakura closed the door to her house. One not aware of the other. Both had the same thought. "Lost my chance with Sakura" Both turned around upset that they couldn't ask the girl that they wanted. Walking in different directuons. Itachi walked looking at the sky regretting not asking Sakura sooner. Sasuke walked looking at the ground with the gifts he had for Sakura. He was on a mission for the past couple of days that's why he hadn't been able to leave the presents and today he was running late. But witnessing Lee ask Sakura made his mind go wild with thoughts. Not realizing both Sasuke and Itachi let a tear slip from their eyes wishing they had Sakura by their side.
