As I wake up the next morning, I roll over and look at the clock on the wall: 10:58 a.m. "Damn," I think as I stretch and yawn, "didn't mean to sleep this late."
Well.. It's Sunday now.. that means tomorrow I start at my new high school. As I get of bed, I think more and more about how tomorrow is going to go. My heart feels like it's going to burst through my chest. This means a panic attack was on its way.
So, like I usually do when my anxiety gets really bad, I decided to go for a walk.
So, like I did yesterday, I threw on a pair of jeans and my favorite hoodie, grabbed my phone and earbuds, then headed out the door after telling my mom and dad goodbye.

On this walk, i got farther than i did last time, since I started walking closer to 11 a.m instead of 3 p.m.
My music was blaring to the point where you could probably hear it if you walked past me. My mom yells at me when my music is playing in my earbuds too loud.
I know why it's bad, but loud music calms me down for some reason.
Suckerz by Blackbear came on and as soon as I heard the beat, I turned up the volume until it couldn't go any higher. As I was turning up the volume, I noticed a tall figure coming towards me. I didn't think anything of it, until i realized who the tall figure was. As he got closer, I started to turn the volume way back down. "Hey! it's you again," Luke said. "Haha yeah, i'm back," I replied. We stood there in silence for a bit before he spoke again.
"So, what school are you planning on going to?" he asked. "Um, I'm going to Woodbury High. Where do you go to school," I replied. "That's the school I go to!" he exclaimed. "Really!" I half yelled "I'm so glad I'll know someone!" "Oh yeah! If you want, I could introduce you to a few of my other friends," he offered. "Uh.. sure!" I replied happily. "Cool!" he replied, "Tonight we were actually planning on chilling at my place if you wanted to come," he said. "I'd have to check with my parents.. but it sounds like a good time!" I responded. "Oh yeah, sure. Just let me know," he said. "I cant really let you know," I giggled, "I don't have your number." "OH," he half yelled half whispered as he pulled a pen out of his back pocket. "Uhh.. give me your hand," he said. I lifted my left hand and he quickly scribbled his phone number onto my palm. "There," he said as he slipped the pen back into his pocket. "Okay, cool. Thank you!" I said. "No problem," he said and smirked. "Well.. I guess i'll head home and talk to my parents about tonight?" I said. "Yeah, okay. Text me!" he said as he walked away. "I will," I said as I turned and walked away.

The first thing I did when i walked into the house was look at the clock that was on a table that was next to the front door. It read 2:37p.m. I walked into the living room and saw my parents sitting on the couch watching Lethal Weapon. "Hey," I said from the entry way. "Oh, hey sweetie," said my mom, "How was your walk?" "It was fun," I replied. "I ran into that boy, Luke, again." "Oh cool," mom said. "He uh.. actually invited my over to his house tonight," I added, "him and a couple of his friends are going to be hanging out at his house. Can I go?" "What do you think hun," my mom said to my dad. "Are his parents going to be there," my dad questioned. "I can ask.." I said. I quickly grabbed my phone and pulled up a new contact and punched in his phone number and name. I quickly typed, "hey luke, it's crystal. i'm talking to my parents about tonight and they want to know if your parents will be there" i sent it and waited.
a few minutes later i got a reply. "oh hey, yeah, they'll be here lol." "Guys," i called to my parents, "his parents will be there" I faintly heard my parents whispering. Then i heard my mom say, "yes honey, you can go!" I quickly got up and ran up to my room so i could lay out what i was going to wear. i grabbed a pair of ripped jeans, a Green Day shirt, a pair of black no-show socks, and my black slip on vans. after i had that laid out, I texted Luke that I needed to shower and get ready so I'd take about 45 minutes.
After I was out of the shower and dressed, I needed to do my makeup.
I decided to just do mascara and eyeliner. I just left my hair down after I dried it, since i usually mess with it when i'm nervous and I usually get nervous when I meet new people..

Before I went down stairs I grabbed a different hoodie and walked down stairs, where my parents seemed to be waiting for me.
"You ready to go honey?" my mom asked. "Yeah, I think I have everything," I replied as I patted the back pockets of my jeans, nodding when I felt my hand lightly hit my phone in my right pocket. "Do we need to drop you off?" my dad asked. "No, I think I can walk," I replied and grabbed my phone from my pocket, so that I could text Luke for directions to his house. He texted the directions almost immediately, it wasn't even a mile to his house.
I showed my parents and they both nodded. I said goodbye and hugged them before I started heading to Luke's house, making sure i texted him that I would be there in 15 minutes.

When I was about 5 minutes from his house my mom texted me saying, "hey hunny, i just wanted to let you know that we want you home by 7, you start school tomorrow.. have fun, love you!" i looked at my clock, which read 4:13, and sighed.

I saw Luke's house and walked up to the door. i texted him and rang the door bell. about 3 minutes later, a brown haired boy wearing a muscle tank top, which showed his tattoos, answered the door. "Hey," he said with a smirk, "you must be Crystal."
