It'd only been weeks since 5SOS had finished touring and were taking their year break. It'd been 4 long, hard, exciting years of traveling the world, but having time off was great. Even though Luke was pretty much enjoying his time with his family, he missed being on stage and perforning in front of the crowd.
It felt slow around home and he thought he could go visit LA, run into some fans and just be on his own for a while. So that's exactly what he did.
He was already wandering the streets of LA, just enjoy the fresh air before going back to the hotel he'd be staying at for the next week.
Lucky for him since it was about 10 pm, it was pretty solitary and there weren't any big chances of being mobbed this late. He was just walking, earbuds in his ears as he walked mindlessly, not caring wherever his feet directed him.
He looked up at the full moon and back at the ground, seeing his feet hit the pavement with every step. He heard some muffled noises and came to a complete stop.
He furrowed his eyesbrows, having sworn he heard someone calling out to him. He took off his earbud and listened carefully before he felt someone tap his back, rigt between the shoulder blades.
Luke turned and came face to face with a young girl, probably no older than 13. She had the biggest smile on her face as she looked up at him with her big green eyes. Her brown hair in two side ponytails, that fell along her shoulders. She was wearing a purple dress with black shiny shoes.
"H-Hi," she stuttered, fidgeting with her hands.
"Hi," Luke smiled before looking around noticig she wasn't with anyone else.
"You're Luke Hemmings," her smile was so big she seemed ready to fall apart.
"I think so," Luke tried to be funny to try and make her calm down, but it seemed to make her all the more excited.
"I just want to say my sister really loves you."
Luke was about to respond before the little girl threw her arms around him, causing him to take a step back. He chuckled and patted her back with one arm,"Oh, that's very nice to hear."
Luke took a glance around and really wondered why nobody was with her. She couldn't have been all alone, she was far too young.
"Where are your parents?" Luke asked as she finally pulled away from him.
"They're on their way," she promised.
"And they just left you out here all alone?" Luke felt a little confused as to why any parent in their rigtht mind would leave their kid out alone this late.
"No," she shook her head.
"Then where are they?" He looked around one last time and just on time he saw a black car pulling up.
It looked brand new, not a single scratch on it. The windows were tinted and shiny, completely spotless. As it pulled over, it came to a stop right in front of Luke and the little girl.
Luke saw the window roll down and there was a man, a lot older than he was. He had dark brown hair just like the little girl's, his eyes seemed to be brown in the light he was standing in. He had a business suit on and seemed to be a man of upperclass, or just wealthy overall.
"I see you've met my daughter, Cassie, I'm John Robles," the man said as he reached out to shake Luke's hand, which Luke shook firmly and nodded.
"Luke Hemmings, sir."
"She saw you from down the block and ran after you, my other daughter and she absolutely adore you and your bandmates," he pulled his hand away and back into the car.
Luke just smiled, unsure of how to respond.
"Do you need a ride?" Mr. Robles asked.
"No, I'm fine, my hotel is just a couple blocks up," Luke nodded, finding it a bit odd that anyone would want a stranger in their car.
"Alright, suit yourself," Mr. Robles said as he rolled up the window.
Luke furrowed his eyebrows and took a step back, thinking the car was about to drive off, but the doors from the back opened and out stepped two muscular guys dressed in all black.
Before Luke could even think of what was happening, the men grabbed his arms and pulled him into the car.
It was dark and Luke couldn't see, as he was struggling against the men.
Luke struggled hard and could feel the adrenaline in his veins as he fought against the attackers.
He heard the car door close and the car engine hum to life as it sped off.
Everything was happening so fast, Luke wasn't sure what to do. He could feel the hands grab at his clothes and his his limbs but Luke kept pulling away and kicking and squirming.
"Get off!" He managed to kick one somewhere in the face.
He felt his strength dying out far too quickly as the other managed to pin his hands down above his head, and he felt his legs held down. But Luke refused to stop. He pulled and bucked his hips and arched his back, desperately trying to break free.
He felt his hair get pulled back harshly, making him cry out in pain. As he opened his mouth, the attackers took advantage and stuffed a wad of cloth in his mouth to muffle any screams. Luke whimpered as seeing they weren't being gentle.
Seeing Luke trying to spit the cloth out, one shut his jaw and covered his mouth. Luke heard the sound of tape unwinding and it encouraged him struggle harder, but his ankles were being bound together with several layers of tape.
Once Luke was robbed of the movement in his feet, they flipped him over and the hand over his mouth was removed. But he didn't have time to spit out the cloth as the tape was being rapped over his mouth and around his head several times.
Luke felt his breathing quicken as he felt his hands were forced behind his back, crossed over and bound as well. If the situation wasn't bad enough as it is, they bound a cloth over his eyes to make it worse.
He felt evil snickers from above him, making him feel inexplicably small and vulnerable.
Luke would've hated having to be awake, for who knows how long until they arrived wherever it was he was being taken. But they must've taken pity on him as a wet rag was pressed up to his nose and a foul stench seeped into his nostrils. His head ached and he felt as though he were going to be suffocated and then he lost touch of all senses.
