chapter ten, Reaction

I chuckled at Shizuo's reaction to seeing me." why hello Shizuo"I said. Shizuo just widened his eyes" you actually said my full first name" he said. I chuckled"yes I did," I said.

Shizuo's POV

I glared at the flea and growled"so what are you doing here flea?"I growled. izaya chuckled a bit"I'm working here now"izaya said. My eyes widened"but I always thought you liked being an info broker?" I asked.

This time izaya laughed" of course I do, I'm still an info broker but now I work for a different Master"izaya said. I noticed how his voice had a tint of amusement in it as usual. but I could see another emotion in his eyes.

it looked like sadness...but...a guy like Izaya couldn't be sad. right? he's always happy. I decided to just shrug it off and I sighed and looked at Ciel. "so...what do you want from me?" I asked. Izaya chuckled a bit.

Ciel looked at me with a serious expression on his face. " I want you to work for me and be Izaya's bodyguard," Ciel said. I instantly grimaced, " What?!" I asked. Ciel just looked at me and I looked over at Izaya and I could tell he was just as surprised as I am.

"Sir I'm sure I don't require a bodyguard," Izaya said. Ciel looked at Izaya and Izaya flinched a bit and looked down. "wait....the kid scared Izaya? Izaya, is scared of a kid? this boy must be scarier than he looks" I thought to myself.

I heard a voice in my head, "don't underestimate the boy Shizuo" a voice that wasn't mine and wasn't familiar said. I jumped a bit and looked at Ciel. I thought about what Ciel was asking me for. "I'll pay you for your services," Ciel said.

"I suppose some extra cash would be nice to have," I said. Ciel nodded in approval and he motioned for me and Izaya to leave the office. I left and Izaya followed him. I sighed "I can't believe I have to look after the flea" I muttered just loud enough for Izaya to hear.

Izaya made a face like he was pouting. "oh Shizu-chan your so mean, what's with the names?" Izaya asked. "I'd like to ask you the same question Flea" I replied. a lot was on my mind right now, my new job, how mysterious Ciel and that butler was, but the question that took up almost all of my thoughts was one question.
