Chapter 21

SIMON'S POV

"GET FUCKING OFF OF HER!" I shouted as I saw Alex violating Adele.

How there he do this to my best friend? To my Adele?

"Help... Please help me..." I heard Adele's voice after so many months. My heart crushed as I saw her condition.

The adrenaline rushed to my whole body and I pulled Alex away from Adele.

"DON'T FUCKING TOUCH MY GIRLFRIEND AND MY BABY!" I said as I throw punches on every word I say.

I can tell Alex was heavily drunk 'cause he missed on punching me.

"DOESN'T MEAN YOU GOT HER PREGNANT, YOU WON OVER ME!"

How I wish I was really the father of her baby...

"YOU DON'T FUCKING DESERVE HER! " After one strong blow to his jaw, I left him unconscious.

How did Adele give a chance to a stupid boy like this?

"Adele! Baby!" I was snapped from my thoughts when I heard Penny shouting and holding Adele into her arms.

I immediately got off of Alex and went to them. I saw Adele unconscious, tears on her cheeks and her face is so pale.

"Simon! We need to bring Adele to the hospital, her water already broke!" Penny said while crying.

I scooped Adele while Penny got her nursery and maternity bag and we went to my car. I sat her on the backseat with her mum.

"Oh Simon, thank God I found you at Target. I don't know what I'll do, if you're not here." Penny held my shoulder.

"I would do anything and everything for my best friend aunt Penny." I smiled at her.

"Everything will be fine, Adele can do this." I added as I glanced at Adele. She is still unconscious.

After about 5 minutes, we arrived at the hospital. I carried Adele out of the car and asked for help.

"Anyone, please help us! Help my best friend!" A nurse came to us with a stretcher, so I laid Adele there.

"You can't enter this room, but you can stay at that bench." The nurse said as she pointed out on the right corner of the hospital.

Penny and I sat on the bench, comforting one another.

"I don't know what to do if something bad happen to Adele and to her baby..." Penny cried.

"Adele will deliver her baby safely, she's a strong woman, she can do this." I faintly smiled.

I just hope I am still not late for everything.

"Relatives of Ms. Adkins?" A doctor came out from Adele's room.

"I!" Penny stood up. She talked with the doctor and came back at the bench.

"The doctor said Adele and the baby are totally safe. She is still not qualified for epidural, so we still have to wait."

"Thank God. Can we see her?"

"Yes, she's on the room A364" with that, we went to her room immediately.

We found Adele there still unconscious with her hand resting on her bump.

Penny sat on her left side while I stood up on her right side.

ADELE'S POV

I woke up to my baby's kick, so I slowly opened my eyes.

"Mum?" I said as I saw her beside me.

"Oh baby, how are you feeling right now?" Mum let out a tear and caressed my hair.

"I'm fine mum, is my baby's okay?"

"Yes honey. The doctor said you are only 6 cm dilated, so we still need to wait."

"Thank you mum, thank you for saving me and my baby..." I said as I get emotional.

"Oh Delly, I couldn't have brought you here if it wasn't owing to Simon." Mum smiled and glanced on my right side.

Simon? So I am not really hallucinating awhile ago?

FLASHBACK

"DON'T FUCKING TOUCH MY GIRLFRIEND AND MY BABY!" Simon yelled at Alex.

Did he just called me his girlfriend? And the father of my baby? I can't understand. I need to talk to Simon, but I can't. These contractions are killing me.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Hey Delly..." Simon rubbed my hand.

"Simon?" After long months, I finally met his hazel brown orbs.

My favorite thing in this world.

"I'll leave you two, I'll just buy us something to eat." Mum pecked my cheeks and went out of my room.

"Ehm, how are you Delly?" Simon scratched his throat.

"I'm fine Si. Thank you for saving me and my baby, I owe you our life." I smiled.

"Adele you know I'll do anything for you... I missed you bunny!" Simon carefully hugged me.

How I missed you too so much.

I cannot help myself from crying. I still can't believe, I was able to escape from that bloody Alex.

"Hey, don't cry Delly." Simon wiped away my tears.

"I'm just thankful that someone was able to save me and my baby, and I'm happy that it was you. I thought we will die on Alex's hand."

"You know I won't let that man hurt you again."

"By the way Si, about what you said awhile ago... When you're fighting with Alex-" I was cut off by Simon. He immediately held my hand.

"Adele, don't worry about that. That's the only way I can do to slap the reality to him... That he don't own you anymore and he doesn't deserve you. You deserve better Delly..."

Simon, all I need is you...
