SIMON'S POV

Is Adele really making me drool of her? She let go of my hand and tied her hair.

My goodness sake. I feel like my breathing is going crazy. That's it. I involuntary fell in to oblivion. I got lost to her green orbs.

"Si, you're freaking me out..." Adele almost whispered to me and giggled.

"Uhm, I'm sorry lol. I'm just thinking if..."

Should I spill it? Fuck I'm getting eaten by my anxieties.

"I just want to say that-" I was cut off by a man who almost got in between Adele and I.

"Excuse me, I hope I did not interrupted the both of you but, Adele can I have a dance with you?" A tall and slender man asked Adele.

Goddamn it. And where the hell did this man came from? Of all time he can butt in, why now?

ADELE'S POV

"I just want to say that-" Simon was not able to finish his sentence 'cause someone came in and interrupted us.

Fuck. Cliffhanger.

A man asked me if I could dance with him. Of course, I don't want to. Why would I dance with him? Why would I leave Simon for Alex?

Suddenly, I saw Laura from the distance. She grinned and raised her thumb.

Fuck you Laura. Why now.

I rolled my eyes on her and made eye contact to Simon. Telling him I don't want to but he just smiled and nod. After that he didn't say any word and just turned around, leaving me with Alex.

I was left with no choice but to stay with Alex. Why on earth did he decided to dance with me?

I stayed awkward with Alex as I glanced at Simon each and every time. He just returned to our table and began to scroll down on his phone.

"So you're Adele Adkins right?" Alex brought me back to reality.

"Uhm, yes..." I said without looking into his eyes.

"I'm Alex Sturrock, it's my pleasure to dance with a beautiful woman like you..." Alex smiled at me.

I'm really not used to be complimented by a guy, except Simon.

"...thanks..." I said avoiding his eyes.

We had few talks before Laura went to us.

"Hi babe! How you doin'?" She smirked at me and had a glimpse to Alex.

I pulled her close enough to me so Alex won't hear our conversation.

"Fuck you Lau. I'll get into you later." I pulled away from her and faked a smile. I can feel Laura was holding her laughs.

"Uhm, Alex we need to go home... It's pretty late now..."

"Are you going home alone? I can drive you to your place." Alex smiled.

"Really?" Laura butted in and grinned.

"No, it's fine. Simon's gonna bring me home. Thanks tho." I faked a smile as I rubbed my shoulders and secretly showed my middle finger to Laura.

As soon as we got far from Alex, I talked to Laura.

"Bitch what the hell did you do?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Alex asked some help to introduce himself to you. Hey donut, I think you got his heart." Laura said and smirked.

"Shut the fuck up Lau. You do not know, what you ruined. Ugh." I sighed as I remembered Simon and I's conversation.

"I'm sorry babe, but you'll see." Laura interlocked our arms as we go towards Simon.

"Hey Mr. Konecki..." I touched Simon's shoulder.

"Oh you're there, it's time to go home." Simon stood up and grabbed his coat.

We dropped Laura first and made my way to our house. I was walking barefoot with my shoes on my hands.

"Hey, you might got splinters from walking barefoot..." Simon said, stopping me.

"No I'm perfectly fine..." I smiled at him.

The whole walk was in awkward silence until the the rain started to pour.

"Oh fuck, run Simon!"

"No Adele, just keep walking. You'll get wet even more if you'll run." Simon said as he grabbed my arm.

He called me Adele. I know something's strange is happening to Simon.

"But we might catch colds..." Simon took of his coat and covered my head.

"Hey we can share under this coat." I said while covering him up too.

"It's okay."

"No it's not. Come on, don't be more stubborn than me." I tried to look into his eyes and smile at him, but he's just staring at the pavements while walking.

"Is everything's fine Simon?" I asked him.

"Yes Delly." He said still not lifting his gaze.

"No you're not. Don't lie." I lifted his chin.

"I just missed my dad."

SIMON'S POV

Adele and I's moment on the dance floor doesn't came off of my mind. What if I got the chance to confess what I feel for her?

It's true that I missed dad, but what's really bothering me, is that man who asked to dance my Delly earlier. What if Delly got feelings for him too? Is Adele's just going to be my best friend forever? Only best friends? Ugh.

A/N: prom scene is done (finally lol)  back to the present. I was thinking of making this chap a 'lil longer, but I run out of ideas (what a shame on me)  lol. So yeah, vacation officially starts tomorrow! Woooh! More chapters to come for you guys, hope you're enjoying it x
