Your ship came to the system and you prepared to land. You came through the atmosphere to be met by trees. You pulled up a bit and saw Luke's ship in the swamp. You pulled yours down and landed on the ground. You climbed out and your feet hit the soggy ground. You walked to Luke's half sunken ship but he wasn't in it. You looked to see him setting up camp.
"I almost feel..." Luke trailed off and pulled out his gun.
He aimed it at you and it startled you.
"Oh, sorry." He said.
"It's okay." You said.
"But it's like.."
This time he pointed it at a small green creature.
"Like we're being watched." He said.
"Away put your weapon. I mean you no harm." The creature said.
Luke put his blaster back in its holster. You studied the small green alien. He used a small stick to help him get around. He looked pretty old from what you could tell. He hobbled over to Luke's stuff and started going through it all. He threw everything onto the muddy ground.
"Don't do that." Luke said. "Look at this your making a mess."
You couldn't help but smile. You held back your laughter, however. The alien found Luke's lamp and turned it on. He looked very happy with it and he started to laugh. You could barely hold yours in. He looked to Luke and R2 took a chance to take back the lamp. He grabbed it with his claw and the alien grabbed his stick and beat it on R2. You let out a small bit of your laughter and then calmed down.
"R2 let him have it." Luke said, almost looking like he was about to laugh.
"Might I ask why you are here?" The creature asked.
"I'm looking for someone. A great warrior." Luke said.
"Ahhh! A great warrior." He started to laugh, "Wars not make one great."
Luke sighed, "Now will you move along little fella? We've got work to do." Luke said.
"No! No! No! Stay and help you I will." The creature said. "Find your friend." He added.
"We aren't looking for a friend. We are looking for a Jedi Master." You said.
"Jedi Master! Yoda. You seek Yoda." The green alien said.
"You know him?" Luke asked shocked.
"Take you to him, I will. But first we must eat. Come. Good food. Come." He said.
Luke looked up at you as the alien walked away. You shrugged and followed the little green guy.
When you arrived at his house, you stopped.
"Come inside we must go." He said.
He crawled through the door getting on your hands and knees.
He set up platters on the table. You grabbed one and filled it with the food.
Luke had some too, "Look, I'm sure it's delicious. I just don't see why we can't see Yoda now." Luke said.
"Patience. For the Jedi, it is time to eat as well. Eat, eat. Hot. Good food hmm? Good?" The creature asked.
You stuffed spoonfuls of the soup in your mouth. It wasn't the best but it wasn't horrible.
"How far away is Yoda? Will it take us long to get there?" Luke asked.
"Not far. Yoda not far. Patience. Soon you will be with him. Why wish you become Jedi? Hmm?" The creature asked the both of you. Luke looked at you to go first.
"Both of my parents were Jedi. So, since they have both died, I thought I would learn it and pass it on." You said.
"Good." The alien looked at Luke.
"Mostly because of my father." He answered.
"Ah your father. Powerful Jedi was he, powerful Jedi. Mmmm." The creature said closing his eyes.
"Oh come on. How could you know my father? You don't even know who I am." Luke said. He got irritated, "I don't even know what we are doing here. We're wasting our time!" Luke yelled.
Then, the creature turned and spoke to no one.
"I cannot teach him. He has no patience." He said.
"He will learn patience." You heard your father's voice through the force.
"Hmm. Much anger in him. Like his father." He said again.
"Was I any different when you taught me?" Ben asked.
The creature laughed, "Hah! He is not ready." He said.
Your eyes widened when you realized who the creature was. You dropped your bowl and looked at him.
"Yoda!" You and Luke both said.
"I am ready! I..Ben! I can be a Jedi. Ben, tell him I'm ready!" Luke tried to stand up but hit his head on the roof.
Yoda spoke to Luke and then to Ben.
"They are too old. Yes, too old to begin the training." Yoda said.
"But we've come so far. And learned so much." Luke said.
"Will be finished, what he begins?" Yoda asked.
"I won't fail you. I'm not afraid." Luke said.
Yoda turned his head toward him. "Oh, you will be. You will be." He said.
You looked at him nervously, "I think you're right there." You said.
Yoda turned away and you waited for further instructions.
