Chapter 40

.•° Jessicas P.O.V °•.

Jasmine and I have been roaming around the hotel for 10 minutes looking for Maddie. Im getting worried!

I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pull it out.

Hi, im that 'weird dude'. We're down in the basement ~ Maddieee

And he only tells us now! "C'mon Jasmine" I say walking into the elevator. I bump into someone as I walk in. It's one of those Richard dudes! He's small and he's got a beard.... Richard #2. "Sorry person" He says flattening his plaid blazer."It's fine Richard" I state. "How do you know my name?" He asks sort of freaked out.  He doesn't remember me? I don't blame him, he's like 60 something.

"I've met you before" I state. "I don't r-" he gets cut off by the elevator opening. "See ya later Richard!" Jasmine says as she grabs my arm and yanks me out of the elevator.

I see a door saying 'BASEMENT' in bold letters. Jasmine walks over to the door and I -Obviously- follow. She slowly opens the door. The room is completely dark! I flick the light switch and the lights turn on.

I see a sleeping Maddie lying on an old hotel couch. There is also a note stuck onto a wall.

Hey! I'm gone. I'm gone to buy batteries and a pair of socks.take the child, come back at 6.

This guy is one freak! "Wierd" Jasmine says. "I know".

I gently shake Maddies shoulders. She flutters her eyes open. "Hi Jess!" She says sounding fully awake. She hops off the couch. "Omg! Guess what!" She exclaims jumping up and down. "What?" Jasmine asks. "That wierd guy gave my candy!" She states. "Did you eat it?" I ask slightly worried. "Erm... I ate one" She states. "Where's the rest?" Jasmine asks. "In my pocket" she says as she pulls the candy out of her pocket. "Maddie, you don't take candy from strangers" I instruct. Sometimes this kid acts like she's 6 years old! "I know but they looked so nice!" She explains. So what? "Just never do that again" I instruct. Maddie nods her head.

"Let's go" Jasmine suggests. "Okay" I say and we walk out of the basement. I don't like it back there.

"There you guys are" Niall says running over to us, he sounds like he's out of breath. "I've been looking all over the hotel for you guys" he adds. That explains why he's out of breath.  I nod my head. "Let's go back to the room" Jasmine suggests. "Okay".

We step into the elevator, I see Maddies mom. "Hi Guys" She greets. "Hi" I say. "M, we are shopping" Maddies mom states. "Ugh!, can I stay with Jess?" She asks, a tinge of hope in her voice. "No" Maddies mom says sternly. Maddie groans in annoyance. Maddies mom links arms with Maddie and they walk out of the elevator.

"So" Niall says awkwardly. I ignore him. "What are we gonna do tonight?" Jasmine asks. "We're gonna bring you back to that wierd freaky guy" I state. "Why?" She groans. "Because". "Because wh-" Jasmine gets cut off by the doors opening. We walk out and we head over to my room.

We step in. I see Fia and Ellie sitting on the couch. "What happened?" Ellie asks. "Nothing". "Tell us!" Fia complains. "I did!" I state.

~6:00 pm~

"Let's go" I suggest. "Go where?" Jasmine asks. "The basement" I state. "I'm comin'!" Niall states running over to us. I nod my head.

......

We walk into the basement. I see that guy. "Hi guy! What's you name?" I ask. "Guy" He states. "Oh, what do ya want?" I ask. "I will stop bein' a wierd creepy dude if I go on a date with your friend. "Which friend?" Niall asks. "The girl, obviously!" He states. I look over at Jasmine. "Well?" Niall asks. "Fine, when?" She asks. "Tomorrow at six" He says. Jasmine nods her head.

We walk out of the basement.

"Jasmine?" I ask looking  around. I suddenly see Jasmine talking to a girl in a wheel chair. She obviously has cancer. I walk over to her. "Hi sweetheart, what's your name?" Niall asks. "My name is Melanie, this is my sister Lucy" She states pointing at her sister. "Do you want a picture with me?" Niall asks. "Okay!" Melanie says smiling widely.

"What's your name on twitter?" Niall asks Lucy. "LucyLou1D" She states.

Niall nods his head. "Well we're gonna go now" Niall states. Lucy and Melanie nod their heads.

Jasmine, Niall and I step into the elevator. "Hey Richard" I say. Tall guy..... Richard #1. "Waddup?" He says all gangsta. We laugh at him. "Where's Richard?" Niall asks. "In his room" Richard states. "Oh".

~The Next Day~

.•° Ellies P.O.V °•.

"Ell, I need your help!" Jasmine says shaking my shoulders. "What?" I ask still half asleep. "Just follow me" Jasmine suggests and pulls me out of the bed.

She drags me all the way to her room. She drops my arm. "Which one is the ugliest out of these outfits?" She asks. "Why ugly?" I ask as I wipe all the dust off my pajamas. "I'm going on a date with a super creepy person tonight" She states. "Okayy...".
