Chapter 1
It started to rain harder but all the small boy could do was staring at the now wet ground. His clothes began to get soaked and the sudden coolness made him shiver. When he looked at his team mate again, he had already opened a black umbrella. Kageyama took his girlfriend's hand and they made their way out of the rain.
Hinata couldn't believe what just happened. So Kageyama got himself a girlfriend now? Would he leave practice behind to spend more time with her? Would he stop hanging out with him? Would he stop tossing him? Would he... leave him behind like a blurry memory?
His head hanging down, he slowly started to get on his bike again. Driving home in the pouring rain, he couldn't forget what happened today. What if the girl breaks Kageyama's heart? He had to prevent that!
Arriving completely soaked at home, he went straight in the bathroom and got out of the wet clothes. Stepping in the shower, he heard his sister calling him but he ignored it.
Letting the warm water relax his muscles he leaned against the wall deep in thoughts. He had to protect his Kageyama. But how would he get rid of his current girlfriend? What could he do without Kageyama noticing what's going on?
"Nii-san! Dinner's ready!" the voice of his little sister interrupted Hinata's thought. "Coming!" he screamed and jumped out of the shower. Dressing quickly, he rushed down and sat on the table. His parents smiled at him when they saw Hinata entering the room. "You sure took long today to get home. Did something happen?" his Mom said, smiling softly. "Ah, no. I had to clean up with Tanaka, that's all."
The rest of the day passed away quickly. Hinata laid in bed, thinking about his plan he had formed in his head in order to protect his setter. Suddenly, his phone beeped and Hinata saw that someone had texted him:
"I have to tell you tomorrow what just happened today after practice.
-Kageyama"
Smiling at the text, he rolled around in his bed. The fact that Kageyama wanted to tell him about his new girlfriend made him so happy. He would probably be the first one who would know.
"I'm curious about it :3
-Hinata"
The next day
When Hinata arrived at school, he saw Kageyama already waiting for him. "So what did you want to tell me?" the spiker grinned and looked up to see his friend blush a bit. "You remember when I told you guys I had something to do after practice?" Hinata simply nodded. Sighing, the black haired continued. "Well I was asked out by a girl, she is a second year and in the same class as Tanaka. So yeah, we met and... she said she really liked me and asked if I would go out with her." Kageyama finished and starred at the ground. Hinata could see the slight blush still covering the other's cheeks.
"And?! Did you accept her feelings?" the smaller busted out. "Hinata boke! Keep your voice down!" the black haired whisper-shouted. "Did you accept her feeling?" Hinata asked again, this time quieter. "Yeah, we're going out now. She's really beautiful, I'll introduce you two when I see her." Kageyama smiled and looked at the other one's grinning face. "Sounds awesome. I'm looking forward to meet her! I'm happy you found yourself a nice girl, I hope I'll get a girlfriend too."
"Maybe she got a single friend she can introduce to you." Kageyama laughed and both started walking into their classroom for the first lesson...
A few days later, after class finished, Hinata got introduced to Kageyama's girlfriend. He didn't lie, she was really beautiful to look at. Too bad Hinata's heart was already taken by his setter.
They chatted for a bit, the girl standing close to the black haired boy, making Hinata overwhelm of jealousy. But what a friend would he be if he wouldn't stand there, laughing with them, trying to figure out what the girl was planning on doing to his precious Kageyama. "Well I'll head off to private tutoring. See you tomorrow." he gave his girlfriend a short kiss on the cheek and waved them off, then Kageyama walked back into one of the class rooms.
Hinata was left alone with the girl, the perfect chance. "Shall I walk with you for a bit? Kageyama asked me to make sure you get home safe." He gave her an innocent smile. "He's such an overprotective guy, that's why I like him so much." she blushed a bit and the two stared walking.
When they walked through a lonely street, Hinata slammed the girl against a wall. "Listen closely and listen well." He whispered in her ear, making the girl shiver in fear. "I want you to stay the fuck away from Kageyama. He doesn't deserve a bitch like you. I know you had plenty of lovers in the past and you will break his heart one day and I won't allow you that!"
"But I was serious when I told him how I felt! Please let go of me!" she struggled and tried to get away but Hinata hold her tight. "What is more important to you, your life or Kageyama?" the silvery blade of a knife appeared in front of her eyes. With tears in her eyes she finally gave Hinata the answer he wanted to hear.
"M-my life, I want to live s-so please don't hurt me!" She cried out.
"Oh so that's how strong your love actually is? Great, I won't bother you again if you promise to never talk to him again. If he calls you, ignore it, if he asks you what's wrong, don't answer it. Got that?" Hinata smiled sheepishly at the crying girl. She simply nodded, keeping her head down. The smaller boy loosened his grip and stepped back a bit. "Delete his contact number and if you dare to tell him what happened here... I will make hell come true for you." His last words spoken, he stared walking away from the still shivering girl...
