Chapter 5

In the end, Kageyama met the girl, without telling his spiker. They went to the park, talked for hours and after this day, he knew that she would be the one. She was his dream girl.

After Kageyama brought her home safely, he called Hinata.

"Kags? Something up?" Hinata asked when he accepted the call. "Hey... I've to tell you something. It's about the girl I showed you some days ago." He started, walking his own way home.

"What happened?" Hinata asked quietly, Kageyama couldn't tell if his voice was shaking or if it was just his imagination. "We met today, I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier! But I wanted to know her a bit better so I wouldn't rush things. And we really talked a lot..." he stopped and waited for Hinata to say something. After a couple of seconds, Hinata finally spoke.

"And? Is she the one?"

"Yes! She's amazing! She is singing in a really popular choir, she can play the piano and she's really, really beautiful. She actually has glasses but she was too shy to tell me because she thought it would make her ugly but when she showed me a picture of her with glasses she was really happy when I told her she'd look as beautiful as always!"

"Kags calm down you're head over heels!" Hinata laughed a bit. "So... what do you think? Should I ask her out on a date? Or she brings her best friend with her and we start a double date?" Kageyama asked with a big grin on his face.

"If you're so addicted to her then just ask her, I'm sure she'll say yes." Hinata said, with a cheering voice.

"Thanks! Ah I'm so happy I meet her, she said she never got herself a boyfriend so I would be her first one. She didn't say I'd be her first one but if I asked her out then I'd be her first. I'm so excited but I don't know why." He sighed and listened into the silence.

"I'm happy you found someone special to you."

Finally Kageyama saw his own home, when he reached the front door, there was a little bag with sweets and a new video game. Inside was a little piece of paper, and he knew who's handwriting was on it.

I'll leave this here, maybe we'll find another day to make a game night together since you were busy today and met your future gf

Hinata

He totally forgot! They wanted to meet today since his parents weren't at home and play Hinata's new game all night long.

He heard the noises of a car driving, it came from his phone. The call was still ongoing.

"Hinata?! I'm so sorry I-" the beeping sound of his phone made him go silent. Hinata had ended the call.

He immediately tried to call Hinata again but only the number wasn't available at the moment.

Hinata's POV

I started to walk home, thinking about what just happened. I sat in front of his house like 2hours and he was secretly meeting with that stupid girl?! He forgot me. Even when he called me, I was calm and listened to what he had to say. How she was so perfect and so beautiful and he would be her first boyfriend. Not like Kageyama was my first sex partner but obviously that didn't matter.

Only when he saw the bag I left in front of his house he remembered that we wanted to meet. It hurts. It hurts so fuckin' much to get rejected form the one you love with all your might's.

Kageyama started talking but I hung up. I didn't want him to hear me cry. I turned my phone off and walked further. The hot tears were streaming down my cheeks. I waited 2 hours in the cold air, only to get my heart more broken. But it doesn't matter, I'll protect him from this girl. I'll be always by his side and one day, one day he will accept me.

When I finally reached my home, I went straight into my room, burying my face in my pillows. I didn't get that much sleep this day, or the day after today. Just lying in bed, thinking about how I'll get rid of the new girl. My phone was still out so I wouldn't receive any calls from Kageyama.

My parents thought I would be ill so they let me lay in bed. And I waited for Kageyama to appear, I waited the whole weekend but he didn't show up to apologize.

Then Monday came and I had to get ready for school. Today, I would meet Kageyama so I had to look good and not like I cried for hours.

"Hinata!" I heard a well-known voice when I got to school. "Hey." Was all I could say, I felt new tears coming up but fought them back. "I'm so sorry Hinata, I totally forgot that we wanted to meet! I tried to call you several times but it didn't work." Kageyama stood in front of me, slightly out of breath because he sprinted over to me.

"Ah that's my fault, my battery died while we talked."

"But I tried to call you yesterday but it didn't work too." Kageyama said and looked into my eyes.

Fuck. What should I say now?

"Natsu took my phone while it was loading in my room and hide it, I haven't found it till now. I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize, that's all my fault. But I got good news for you so don't make that face. I arranged a double date tomorrow after practice so you can maybe get the girlfriend you wanted for so long. How does that sound?" Kageyama smiled at me his adorable smile so I couldn't resist. Damn.

"Sure! That would be perfect now!" I said, smiling back at him. "I already got a plan how things will work out for me...

3rd person Pov

The day of their date came and the volleyballer meet up with the two girls. "Hey!" Kageyama shouted and they turned around. "Kageyama, Nice to see you again. That's my best friend I told you about." The other girl shyly waved and looked at Hinata. "Hey, I'm Kageyama's friend Hinata. It's a pleasure to meet you two." He said with a big grin on his face.

"Shall we head into the café?"

They chatted the whole afternoon. It was a really nice atmosphere, but appearances are deceptive. Hinata smiled at the smaller girl, she was really shy but she slowly opened. After about 1 more hour, she laughed together with him. "You're so funny." she said and whipped away a tear from laughing.

"Only because your laugh is so adorable." Hinata winked at the blond.

"You two are so cute." The other girl laughed a bit.

Around 7PM they said goodbye to the girls and started walking home together. "And? What do you think?" Kageyama busted out. "She's cute..."

"And?!"

And I'm gay moron

"I don't know, gimme time to think over it okay? By the way, what about you? You seemed to have fun with her." Hinata poked his friend. "Like I told you, she's just perfect, I think I'll ask her out, and you better make up your minds because the blond looked like she really likes you." The setter grinned at Hinata.

"Yeah got that, expert Kageyama." He laughed and waved his friend goodbye. It won't last long when Kageyama would get himself a new girlfriend now. Hinata had worked out a plan to bring Kageyama back to him. He would make him his, no matter what.
