Folding my clothes and packing them into a garbage bag that's been under the bed I've been sleeping on for The past 11 years, I start to feel depression creep up on me. I mean, it's sad, I've been here since I was 7 and this is my home, and now I'm leaving it forever.
I walk out of the room taking one last look before closing the door and walking down stairs for the last time.I meet Margret at the bottom of the stair case. She is the lady that runs the orphanage that takes care of us.
"Good morning" I say looking at the ground "look Hayley, I know your nervous, but you have your whole life ahead of you now! You can do whatever you want with your life!" She exclaimed trying to look at the positives "where will I go? I've got nothing" I point out miserably
"Hayley, honey. You have so many opportunities out there for you. You have a whole world waiting for you!""This isn't helping"
"Listen, I know pep talk isn't going to give you a roof over your head and your dream car, but you know what can?"
"..."
"You, only you can get where you want, yes your on your own. But you have people to lean on. This is a big deal. This is where you start your life"
"Margret-"
"Now, I don't want to hear another word about this, ok? You have until tonight anyway. Now c'mon I'll make you a special birthday breakfast and then I have to get all the kids ready. We have a parent coming in today looking for a child to adopt" Margret walked off after that, I groaned and followed her out.. she's right.
