(Hayley's P.O.V)

"Just drop me off right here please" I said to the taxi driver pointing to the side of the road

"Here? Really?" He questioned raising an eyebrow

"Yes, here" I repeated nodding my head

"As you wish, miss"

I paid the cab man the money and sat on the rock on the grass next to the path. Where we met, just like he said. I texted Lucas saying I was here. Replied immediately saying 'I'll be there in 2 minutes baby 😘'

Hmm ok

2 minutes later I saw Lucas I walked up to him and gave him a hug "how are you?!" I chirped "yeah I'm good thanks!, what about you?" He replied

"Yeah I'm good" I laughed "so, what's up? Why'd u wanna meet up?"

He rubbed he's arm and looked away "well I came here to talk to you,,, about... my feelings.. something I didn't want to tell you. Ya know. Over text..."he started

"...oh?" I stummered smiling

"Yeah, I kinda really like you?" He blushed looking away rubbing the back of he's neck..

I smiled

"And I was wondering if you were possibly, maybe. Ya know. Wanted to Hang out with me?  And maybe" he paused "be my girlfriend?" He blushed

I thought for a minute, I can not believe he's asking me out. I took another look at him, he's pretty good looking, but what about Demi? There's nothing between us, she doesn't even want to talk about the kiss, she's with Niall anyway.
I looked back up at Lucas

"Yes, yes I would love to" I smiled then laughed from joy as he kissed my cheek

"Whoa.. I'm delighted." He smiled pulling me in for a hug. "Do you wanna hang out?" He asked

"Yeah!" I said

"Hmm where to?"

"We could go back to my place?" I suggested clapping my hands together as though it was a final decision

He's eyes lit up and he smiled "yeah that'd be a lot of fun!" He blushed looking away, behind me. very focused on whatever he was looking at.

"What're you looking at?" I asked looking behind me

"Nothing. It's nothing" he said taking my hands making me look in he's direction

(Demi's P.O.V)

I've spent hours writing this song.. and I must say... I'm so proud. I can't wait to go to the recording studio and sing this to Hayley, after all, I did write it for her.

I ran upstairs and past the kitchen calling Hayley's name with no reply, then a note on the bench caught my eye. I picked it up and read it,

Demi,
I couldn't find you before so I went back to my room then got call from one of my friends wanting to meet up with me, I'm safely with them now please don't be mad I'll be home soon, Hayley x

At leased she left me a note. I sighed and went into the living room and put a movie on, it was only about 10 minutes into the movie when someone opened the front door. I gasped,
"Oh it's just you, Hayley. You almost gave me a heart attack" I said trying to catch my breath with my hand over my heart

"Sorry?!" Hayley smirked shrugging it off then I noticed someone with her

"Whose this?" I asked gesturing to the tall boy with long blonde hair with blue ends.

"Oh how rude of me. This is Lucas. Lucas, Demi." He held he's hand out for me to shake and I shook it smiling at him. He looked at me with sympathy. Hmm I gotta keep my eye on this one..

Hold on a second...

"are you... your not, dating or anything are you?" I stuttered and gave a nervous laugh. They both looked at each other.

"No no, he's just a friend. Demi" Hayley said while looking at the ground then walked away.

Lucas took one last look at me, eyeing me up and down squinting he's eyes before looking at the floor and following Hayley. Something's up with this boy.. something very weird..

I quietly followed behind them and kinda eves dropped for a minute, they were in Hayley's room. Hey I'm doing this for our safety, not because I'm a snoop.

I pressed my ear to the door being very careful not to make a sound. I heard them talking but couldn't quite hear I just heard muffling.

Wait! What was that?! I could've sworn I heard a smooching noise. I ran downstairs as fast as I could and got a packet of chips and 2 cans of lemonade to give to them as an excuse to go in Hayley's room with out her suspecting anything. I knocked slightly and heard an immediate come in. So I did

"Heyyyy" I smiled walking in "hey!" Hayley said while Lucas just stared around the room biting his lower lip.
"Ok well, I just brought you guys a snack. Call me if you need anything" I said and left the room. Ok so maybe Hayley was telling the truth and she wasn't lying that they are just friends.. but that's what it always starts with! As I left I purposely left the door open a tad, just enough so that I can hear anything going on in there from out here.

Ok ok I know I'm being a snoop. She's 18 and I should give her privacy. But then again, she could be dating this boy and lying to me about it. I just had to stay and listen just for awhile.

"Why do you get all awkward around Demi?" I heard Hayley whisper

There was a uncomfortable pause

"Well because she's a celebrity and all, and it's kinda just like, whoa. I've never met a celebrity" Lucas said... but I could tell there was something more to the answer then that. He's hiding something,, I know it.

"Ok babe, fair enough" I heard Hayley say babe?!

"I love you" Lucas said

"I love you to"

No...  Hayley was dating this boy. And lying to me..
