AN: So, sadly, this is the last chapter to The First Day of Summer. Hopefully this chapter will be an awesome end. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing it! Means a lot!

Epilogue

There are many moments in the years that I have known and loved Greg Feder where I doubted what he felt for me was real. There have been many women who tried to tell me I wasn’t the girl for him. Sometimes I believed them. But then Greg would pull me into his arms and hold me until I thought otherwise. Many people have told us, excluding our family and friends who were there from the very beginning, that we were too young to fall in love. Well you know what I have to say to those people now…suck it. We were thirteen when we started dating and it’s been six freaking awesome years since.

In those six years, our lives have changed drastically. We’ve all come a long way since that butt kicking first day of summer.

Mr. and Mrs. Lamonsoff are still those happy and carefree husband and wife. Mr. Lamonsoff still owns his little auto garage downtown and Mrs. Lamonsoff volunteers at the local animal shelter across the street. Donna lost some weight and now invests her life as a model of her own clothing line. She said her blinking boots on the last day of school all those years ago inspired her to create more fashion. Creative clothing is the new style now…all the kids and young adults are wearing her clothing. And you wouldn’t believe where Bean ended up…he composes his own music. He still goes to school but now instead of making everyone think he’s not all there, he’s shown to be at the top of his class. We’re all so very proud of him.

Mr. and Mrs. McKenzie are still raising their son Ronnie. He’s come to be a little ladies man at the early age of nine going on ten. Whenever we have our annual barbeque or holiday celebration, Ronnie would be there hitting on me and Donna. It was the cutest thing. Charlotte is now enrolled in a nursing program at her University and doing really well. Donna, Charlotte and I get together a lot and discuss our lives. I’m the only one in a relationship right now. The girls say they’re too busy to have one right now. But we all know that’s bull. Andre is currently lives next door to Greg and I. He and Sara are still together and are happily engaged. I flipped when I found out I was going to be Maid of Honor. I still have so much to plan.

Uncle Marcus quit being a womanizer, which the whole family was extremely happy about, and asked his manly woman Beefcake Kitty to marry him. Mom almost had a heart attack after finding out. But don’t let the proposal fool you, he still loves to party and act like a five year old. But I guess that’s okay as long as future Aunt Kitty is around. Surprisingly she’s really nice. She’s likes to take all us girls on shopping sprees and get our nails done. Our small family was small before the lake house and now it’s grown two times its size. I love it.

Greg’s parents still love to throw wild parties on the weekends to keep things from getting boring. Some will be themed and others were normal as could be with our lot of friends. Mrs. Feder had her baby, a healthy baby girl named Diana Feder. I offer to babysit when they need a break from all the baby cries and diaper changes. Becky has grown up to be a very beautiful girl. So much in fact that she can’t keep the boys away which is a problem for Greg and Keithie now since they still see her has their baby sister. Keithie’s foot ended up healing quite nicely and he tried out for the high school football team and made quarterback. We think he has a crush on Donna now since every time they’re around each other, they can’t seem to stop starring at each other. Everyone is betting on them on when they’ll get together. I said in the next couple of weeks but no one believes that. But the one person who I am completely proud of is Greg. He managed to do a lot in six years. For starters, he made the track team and then the basketball team and led them to a State Championship. Then we ended up going to the same college together. We managed to keep our relationship close despite the tough schedules and what not.

Now my family is still the same as ever. Mom and dad have come to terms that I was no longer a virgin…it took them three years but they finally got used to it. Dad though quit his job as a lawyer when he found out the company that he worked for was stealing from their clients. Luckily for him, he didn’t get in trouble and found another job in the process. He now co-owns a book publishing company with Mr. Feder and the company has done really well. It was enough for my mom to quit her job and retire. And as for me, well, I went on to graduating college and moving into a house right down the road from our families. I make well enough money being the manager and owner of Mrs. Feder’s clothing store downtown. After the baby was born, she decided she couldn’t raise a newborn and run the shop at the same time. She gave me the job and it’s been taking off. Some of the money we earn, I give to charity and some I give to Mrs. Feder seeing as it was her shop. It’s still named and runs the same. A few months after, Greg moved in with me and we’ve been living together for two years now. Oh and did I forget to mention I’m engaged now? Greg popped the question at last year’s Fourth of July party in front of all our friends and family. We’ve been a bit busy planning our wedding AND helping Andre and Sara’s with theirs.

Yeah, life’s been amazing since then and we have it all thanks to that old summer lake house. And hopefully in the future, Greg and I will be able to take our kids there too…maybe someday.
